So I recently picked up a Intellivision to add to my 20 some odd other systems that are hooked up but when i wire it thru to the RF all I get is a fuzzy b & w picture and fuzz sound, but when it is attached to another TV it works fine. Is there a known issue with INTV that I should know about?

cuz I'm lost!

might be interfiereance on the channel?

try toggling the channel switch on the system that worked for me at least.

you may also have just too many wires together if you've daisy chained them together.

Yeah tried switching between 3 and 4 nada, tried it thru a working rf line NES, nada, tried running it straight to the TV, nada same thing, B&W fuzzy pic, I'm wondering if it may be RF interferance from the other consoles?

If memory serves, some old consoles used channels 2 or 3, while others used 3 & 4. Have you tried channel 2?

This system has only 3 & 4, and like I said it works fine on the other TV, just not the one in the game room with all the other systems

Are you sure the RF's switched to "Game" or whatever and not "TV"
That always happens for me.

are you using a manual RF (with a TV/Game switch) or an auto RF (like the kind that shipped with the NES)?

its best to use a direct line, and a RF/Coax adapter

An Intellivision won't work well with an automatic switcher like the NES switchbox. Also, it tends to work better with cable that has the edges on the end of the wire instead of an RCA straight piece of cable. That's a bit hard to explain but I couldn't find a picture to illustrate.

I very recently hooked my int up with a nes rf and it worked totally perfectly.

I think the problem must be his chain of wires has weakened the signal too much

try changing the order of the wires ,that might work

try wrapping the RF cable around a small ferrite ring or RF absorber if it's the inty's original cable.

It worked wonders on my DC's crappy RF signal.[/code]

A shot in the dark would be that your tv is an older tv that can have it's channels tuned manually.

Channel 3 (and any other channel), might not be calibrated perfectly, hence the not-quite channel 3 or 4 fuzziness.

try a different cable or rf box. better yet, go to radio shack and pick up a new one. I got one from there and works PERFECTLY!!!! i absolutely love it.

Never mind, you guys are all suggesting things that are already mentioned above stating that I have already tried, I was just hoping that this might have happened to anyone else, guess not, I'll figure it out on my own later, Thanx

to be honest dude, you didnt tell us anything, it's obvious these are standard answers to the problem, you confirmed it by saying you already did them. we assume from what you say that you have done nothing more than plug it in and see fuzz. be descriptive and youll get more relevant answers.

for my input: my tv sucks quite alot with my atari 2600's, but no amount of tuning or cable changes will help that. i used high quality coax, $5 a metre style, and it truely didnt help.. my tv is newer, and doesnt make allowances for shitty rf signals from obselete hardware.

it's possible youre screwed, so be nice or go away, we dont get paid to help you, we do it to help out.
