Please *assist* I recently saw a weird looking blue and yellow Pokemon N64 system. I think Pikachu was on it. Q-- Is this a rare item? or just goofy?

Just goofy most likely~
I know many Toys R Us stores still have tons of them, but I think that might be the only place you can still find them on the shelves. Last I checked they were all over eBay too. If you can find the Toys R Us LE (with Hey You Pikachu! and a watch) I know they were clearencing them out for $30, while the "basic" units were about $100 still.
With the "newer" systems, I think it's too hard to tell what's going to be rare in the future. Like the Darth Vader Ataris, they might be uncommon in the future, but no "rare"

Pokemon is a gimmick for little kids not that i'm hurtng anyone's feeling by all means.I used to be a fan of it, but i stopped watching the shows and buying pokemon stuff because it was getting very boring.I decided that video games were more better then collecting pokemon stuff.

It could be one day as rare as a top loading NES. They came out late in the console's life and right now there's at least 50 such console at *each* Toys R Us. You guessed it, most would end up in the landfill as 'unsold and destroyed'
At one time Toys R Us was selling the deluxe set with Hey You Pikachu game for $50 but they're up to $150 now and the console only is $100. I'd probably get one cheap someday just for its weirdness factor.

Yea, I don't think they're be rare, but my friend bought one just cause it was the gayest thing he every saw...it's kinda neat, the cheeks on pikachu like up when you turn the system on.

:) Wow. Achika thanks for the pertinent info. (and everyone else) Glad to hear it's not a real rarity since I couldn't get past how gay looking it was to buy it.

I picked up one back a bit and it sits on my shelf in the box. It's pretty cool for a novelty. I don't think it will compare to the top loading NES. Most people want the top loading NES because they seem to work better than the original NES. (I know that are some people that will disagree with this.)
