This movie (http://leenks.com/link35183.htm) can't possibly be true can it? If so that it's just completely unreasonable.

Okay, first off, calm down. This is not the hardware's fault, but rather the developer of the game. Yes, Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 has horrendous load times.
EDIT: My origional post there was reffering to your F*** the PSP comment, before you edited it.

To be fair, every time you skip a video/cut-scene in almost any game, be it for a home console or the PSP (i.e. disc based media), the game will have to load. Many games load up the next scene/section of the game while the cutscene is being played.
Also, 30 seconds to load up a game from the system's menu is not all too uncommon for games these days.
Still, for a portable game, it's a bit ridiculous that it will take you 1:30 or so to get to the menu, and probably at least 2:30 to get started in a [continued] season mode match.

The developer needs to be shot. There is no fucking way a game should take that long to load up. I think the longest loading game I have on my PSP is GTA, and that feels faster than the GTA games for the PS2.

But somehow the Benny Hill music makes it all better. Maybe they should have included that in the actual game.
Hmm and i thought the NeoGeo CD had bad loading times.
That shit was bad and the benny hill music looped how many times 6 7?

that was pathetic / hilarious.....pathetic on the part of THQ for shipping a piece of shit like that.....load times over 1 minute are too much for a portable..... and the guys comments in that movie were friggin hilarious..... i love when he mentions that it had to load the loading screen....ahahhaha

Yeah, I've played it before, and even just loading a quick exhibition match takes a ridiculous amount of time. The video is legit, I can attest to that. As far as I'm concerned, load times like that are truly unacceptable in a handheld. I don't care how nice the game looks (and it does look amazing), or how well it plays, load times like that defeat the very concept of a handheld gaming device.
It's part Sony's fault for the system's design, part the developer's fault for not finding better shortcuts and techniques to shorten the load times.
