My son and I finally completed our first game we went through entirely together. A very special moment. We have been playing it a while, we finally completed Kingdom Hearts together with the secret ending. I actually beat the last boss, but he will try it soon since we have high attribute levels.

Do you remeber the first game you completed or saw the ending to?
I think mine was Super MArio Brothers. Most of the Atari games I played were the Activision type shooters without the ending, just go for the points and levels.

MY first game I finished was INTV AD&D

A few months later I finally finished Zork I, I had been playing Zork on a TRS-80 and we had had the game sense 1979 but my spelling sucked (or should that be sucks :D) took me three years off and on to finish the game..

I believe mine was The Legend of Zelda: Link to the past for the SNES, I remember the exact day I beat it, I was so damn happy, I had played that game for over a month!!

Congratulations to you and your son! I can't wait until my son is old enough to play games with.

The first game I've finished was Adventure for 2600.

First co-operative game would be Legend of Zelda for NES. back then, it was huge and hard and my brother worked with me to finish the game.

Today... -_- most games I can finish by myself and usually within a week. I finished Zelda GBA and the 4 sword within 48 hours of getting it but it's still worth playing anyway.

Adventure was mine too. Me and my buddy, whooping and high fiving, watching the flashing castle and hearing that weird high-pitched thumping game-ending noise

I'll have to borrow one of my friend's kids to share your experience LOL

The first game I ever finished off was SMB. The first one both my dad and I finished was Super Mario World on SNES (with a LOT of help from me).

My dad and I finished a game called Demon Stalkers by Microforte together back on the old Tandy. I'm pretty sure that was the first game we ever beat together. Since then, we've beaten a lot of first person shooters together: Wolfenstein, Half-Life, Opposing Force, Doom, Doom 2, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, to name just a few. This is why I hate the departure of FPS games to tournament style instead of single player corridor. I'm home from college this year, and we can't even find a decent FPS to play through together (I'm sorry, but Aliens vs. Predator 2 SUCKS....I think we've given it more than it's fair shot).

My first was Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout. I know because I remember having to get my mom tape me winning the ending. I still love that game.

The first game I ever beat was Super Mario Bros. The first game my dad and I won together was Landstalker for the Genesis. We'd take turns until we finally beat it.

That's really tricky. the first game I beat . . . . it must have been something on the old BBC Master. But I can't think what - most of those games were pretty much unbeatable (unless you were a genius or a droid - or both). I mean things like Thrust, and Repton 3..

So, games I beat on the Beeb - Hostages (still got the certificate from Superior Software to prove it!!), Codename Droid, Spycat, Nevryon, Citadel. I'm going to discount Citadel and Codename Droid, because I only beat those with the aid of a walkthrough (or "solution" as it was called back then!!). Nevryon was one of the later games I bought, and I think Hostages was as well. So it must have been Spycat - which, I have to say, was a pretty groovy game! Anyone else remember that?
