Master System question

Not counting Pal, but how many different system versions is there of Master System, I know of one that comes with Hang on and Astro Warrior, another that is just the system, another with Hang On/Safari Hunt and another that comes with the 3-D glasses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Master System II falls in there somewhere, don't know if it came with a pack-in but the design was different.

SMS 2 came with either Alex Kid or Sonic 1.

I didn't realise there was a guide until a month after I first came here. It took a few more months to realise I could put "system" in and get the different versions.

TecToy Master system II is similar to USA Master system. I don´t like SMSII USA design. Well, there´s also SMS III... :P

The US only had Alex Kidd built into the SMS2 - the Sonic model was released in Europe/Australia/Brazil only.

Not including Brazil, the following hardware variations exist:

SMS1 w/snail game
SMS1 w/Hang On
SMS1 w/Hang On & Safari Hunt
SMS1 w/Missile Defense 3D
SMS1 w/Alex Kidd in Miracle World
SMS2 w/Alex Kidd in Miracle World
SMS2 w/Sonic (PAL only)

Not sure if there's one with Hang On & Astro Warrir built-in - didn't those units just include the Hang On/Astro Warrior 2-in-1 as a pack-in cart?

My first Master System had Hang on/Astro Warrior w/ the Snail game built into it. I remember finding the snail game by accident way long ago.

The SMS I own has Hang On & Safari Hunt. I've seen carts around that are that combination too, which is pretty wierd to me. But to any extent, do you know what the rarities are of each system? My friend has a plain SMS.

I'd say the Missile Defense 3D unit is the hardest to find by some margin (not all 3D Glasses bundles included it - some just had the cart packed in instead), probably followed by the Alex Kidd SMS1 and the NTSC SMS2.

SegaScope 3D is the series branding of all the Master System games that utilized the SegaScope 3D glasses.

I have never played a 3-D game on MS. I still don't own the glasses and one of my MS's card reader was not working. I hope too soon.
