i heard that the original uncensored intro is intact in it (showing the gorey attack on a certain character). however, is the head on the floor scene that wasn't included in director's cut US, there as well? i was tempted to import biohazard to see them (as opposed to watching grainy rips on fansites) but now i'm hesitant.

The intro is censored actually. Yet Kenneth's death scene is uncensored....no clue why they decided to do that...

The only thing i noticed was that the scene of Chris smoking was cut. But then again it's been a long time since i've seen the original video.

in the uncut version, instead of seeing newpaper articles about the "grisly homocides", you see actual mutilated corpeses. also, the attack with the dogs is very graphic, and you see the hand's stump. yeah, chris smokes too.

nevermind. i looked through the gamefaqs forums and i found someone who mentioned that the DS intro is still censored, despite the head falling onto the floor being re-inserted. wtf capcom.

Nope. The GC version had a totally different opening sequence. In the GC one, you actually get to see the dogs chompin' away at poor ol' Joseph. You can also see a video later in the game of Kenneth actually being killed too. Man, I love the GC remake :)

I actually enjoyed the DS Resident Evil. Still surprised me to see the whole PSOne version in the tiny little DS stamp-sized cartridges. Pretty damn good from a technical point.

Actually, the mutilated corpses are in the GC Resident Evil remake - but they're only flashed onscreen, so you won't see much anyway.

btw, ken dies differently in REmake. he gets his throat torn out, as opposed to completely decapitated as in the original.
