When the Pippin came out in the States (and only sold 6,000 units), no games came out for it in the States. You can find some Japanese games for the system, just search for it at Google.

It had a few games for it, about ten or so. It also had a few non game programs like cooking and what not. They are in the database for you to view descriptions of, unfortunately they have no scans.

I can THIS CLOSE to buying a Pippen last year. There was a USA one on Ebay with the necesary attachments. As an obsessive-compulsive moron, I can guarantee I would have won it. Then I started researching it.

It seems there just weren't very many games released for it, especially for those of us who understand nary a sign or symbol of Japanese, much less a full page of text or a bunch of spoken dialogue.

The fact that the software is very hard to aquire solidified the deal. I bought a NTSC CD32 instead only to be slapped in the face when I found out that at least a third of CD32 games won't play on an NTSC machine due to PAL incompatibility issues. The whole "hold the mouse button plugged into controller port two whilst turning on the machine" was worse than nothing... nothing like a rolling screen!

What do you think of the Pippin? Do you like it? Do you really play it? What do you play?

This is the absolute most difficult console to research. There are no fan sites, no reviews, no nothing. I know they sold 6000 units, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are less than 500 US games in the market for it.

I've been able to confirm just four US released games for this system: http://www.consolecity.com/games.php?region_array%5B%5D=1&system_id=53&start=0&limit=25

I don't even believe that the DP Guide on this one is very accurate.

What do you think of the Pippin?
It probably sucks. The FM Towns I got isn't tons of fun, and that one at least has classic arcade game ports. What does the Pippin have? Some retarded anime tie-in games and super deformed giant robots. Yeah, that sounds killer.

That's about the only game that doesn't suck.
