View Full Version : Quick! What's the last game you played!

It doesn't matter if it was something you popped in just for a second to see if it worked, or if it was a game that you spent the last 36 consecutive hours with.

Just tell me. What was the last video game you played?

And now that I think about it, this is an embarrassing time to have posted the question. The last game I played was Sewer Shark for Sega CD (while testing out the emulator). GASP.

Nothing wrong w/ Sewer Shark... even though i've been "Missing rategators the size of Buicks!" :-) Anyway, my last game was Sonic Adventure, after I finally snagged a copy for $10...

A Haunted House II 3-D proto on the 5200.

I think the CGE attendees will be very happy with this one. If for no other reason than the mere fact that it's kickin' my butt!

Jr. Pac Man on MAME.... for some reason, that's a great game to play for a few minutes to unwind :)

Space Channel 5. God that game is fun. I don't stay for the credits, I just play mission 4 for the music. I've just recently started wearing headphones (for mad maestro and my roomates), so music in a game is taking a new meaning for me.

I found Gain Ground (Genesis) this morning along with a bunch of other games. I stuck it in and now I'm hooked. This is a REALLY fun game that I've never heard of. Anyone else playing it?

Morrowind XBOX, just got it yesterday.

I have Gain Ground as asked earlier, I have yet to try it though, sounds cool by back of the box even though.

I had a craving for NHL '98 on Genesis last night at 2 in the morning. I beat Edmonton like 10-0 with the Avalanche. It's no contest playing those NHL games anymore, I kick way too much ass. I don't know why I bother.

Shining Force III on the Saturn. I'm so addicted to this game!

Someone at CGE is going to have to show me how to play Space Channel 5. I can't believe how badly I suck at it.

I've just spent the last 14 hours (no joke) playing Unreal Tournament which although it is neither classic nor collectable is still damn good fun.

And I beat 3 clan guys in assault mode ... on my own! I'm the big winner! Except on the next map, "Frigate", I got owned which took the shine off of the whole thing ...

Well the last game I played was Super Mario World for SNES... I've gotten through chocolate island 3 and now I'm stuck and can't figure out how to get further....ugh.

I took my SNES and Atari 2600 with me when I went to my grandma's house this week. I still havn't gotten it all unpacked now that I've gotten back home.

I've been really into the NES lately... I play it more often than my PS2 and Dreamcast combined, and my collection (not counting the stuff stranded in Arizona) has went from zero to thirty in a matter of weeks. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed Batman... it borrows liberally from Ninja Gaiden but the slower pace and dark, moody graphics are more to my liking.
Before that, I logged a lot of time with Pac-Man (a Tengen game with the Nintendo seal of approval!). It's ugly as heck and the sound is the pits- everything's too high-pitched and you'll hear a really creepy throbbing sound when you munch dots while the monsters are chasing you- but it's surprisingly fast and fun after you get through the first couple of rounds.
Before THAT, I did permanent damage to my trigger finger by playing Mechanized Attack. I've got to give SNK credit for this one... it's far better than its Taito cousin Operation Wolf, but the high volume of enemies in both games (some requiring multiple hits before they die) makes them downright painful to play with the notoriously tight-triggered Zapper. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to put a Band-Aid on my finger... I think it was lying over there on the couch.

Well, technically, like you said, the last game I "tested" was Starfox 64, didn't really play it though, but it's the last game I had running.

If you wanna know what i'm "playing", that would be the game I missed out on, and finally getting to play, "Skies of Arcadia", what a great game!

Baldur's Gate PS2. I picked up the discount BG original for PC, and I just don't think it will be half as fun without Gauntlet style console action. I've finished it 3 times, including extreme mode with Drizzt, and goddamn it if I don't play it through another couple of times in extreme mode. When is the sequel coming out? Anyone recommend any other games like it? It's the action I crave.

@Buffy You playing UT on PC or which console? I played it through on DC, which is cheesy, but I really enjoyed it. Sure I ain't a world class PC FPS type, but drop it down a notch for this Dreamcast sucker.

NightWarriors, Saturn. I'm finally teaching myself how to play this series. Too bad NightWarriors wasn't made for the 4M RAM cart... I like it better than Vampire Savior.

Before that, UT at work. We're having a bit of a revival of that game, though it's getting that my coworkers are leary of playing with me since I'm kind of better than they are.
