Need a site w/ NES roms HELP

All the sites I go to have mad pop ups and slow my computer up with all those ads, can someone reccomend a decent site with minimal popups?

I wouldn't even suggest one. Many sites y=usually are nothing more than a cheap trick to collect free money from ad revune by tricking people in. And some of them often leech the link from other sites. And the good ones usually are shut down by Nintendo even before it appears in any search engines.

My recommendation is to get a decent newsreader and subscribe to alt.binaries.emulation.nintendo and just wait for the next flood to come along. (both NES and SNES appears there regularly)

I wouldn't recommend Kazaa for trying to get these really. You can try it, but the chances of a virus are pretty good. If not a virus, you'll load your system up with some goofy spyware. I wish I could send you to a nice website loaded with romfiles like the ones years ago, but the IDSA pretty much got ahold of all the good ones. Newsgroups or IRC (#rareroms) are really the only viable options now.

That's why I'd recommend using Kazaa Lite which has had the spyware removed, and then run ad-aware to remove any other known spyware that might be on your machine. If you take normal virus precautions such as scanning all incoming files before opening them, kazaa is a great source.

If you need anything else check out www.edgeemu.com the server might be down but when it is up they have around 10,000 roms availible and that was last time i check with 2,000 nes roms. X_x
