Man, this is the best thread since Bio Force Ape. Seriously.
sooo.... Zach's feelings got hurt so instead of PM'ing some errors to RCM, he publicly insults his grammar, spelling, and remarks.... causing RCM to get offended and respond with emotional posts, that are only responded to with even more heated typings? Do I have this right?
This is my understading of it yes.

Please re-read my posts. All of them. My "feelings" aren't hurt in the slightest. A friend of mine brought this thread to my attention, because it linked to an interview in which Rob erroneously stated that I was currently involved with Video Game Collector magazine. That is not the case, but Rob's statement led to confusion on the part of several of my work contacts and fellow employees. I corrected Rob's errors, and Rob's replies to my corrections became increasingly psychotic, to the point where I now need to involve the management of two companies in the situation.

Should have just PM'd him about your corrections to him, you should not have confronted him on what's basiclly a public forum. no?

There's the hilarity of an internet argument, the temper tantrum that you're throwing over RCM's idle threat (which was uncalled for).
I'm unfortunately not in a position where I can laugh off Rob's threat. I have to take it seriously, and to act accordingly. You get to point at this thread and laugh; I have to inform at least a dozen of my coworkers that they might need to watch out for a psychotic "journalist" at E3.

I'm wasn't offended by those remarks. I rushed the interview out to make a deadline, I think there's a mistake or two that has yet to be pointed out. I linked to it on DP because I thought people would enjoy the interview and review too. Zach was offended b/c I didn't like the mag he wrote for. I'm sure he hates my work, not that I care.
Whether he admits it or not, Zach knew his remarks and constant comebacks would be lead this thread into shit. He's a master at that. I tried to avoid it.
I wanted this thread locked an hour ago to end this bullshit. Perhaps the stabbing comment was a bit much. I'd never do that sort of thing and I admitted it many times now including the original post.

Wow another zmweasal thread has degenerated into chaos. He must have a friend pretty high, because with the shit he stirs up you would've figured there'd be some disipline. Yet here we are.
Oh well since that isn't the case and the thread has already gone to help, it's time for the DP pattened threat aversion system.

Your posts have been re-read, but you don't want me to re-read them again as each time you just come as more of a whiny "I'm part of the industry so my shit doesn't stick" drone - which probably isn't the case, so your posts will not be re-read again.
In print or online sources are misquoted, information can be slightly incorrect - it happens, you should know more than most. I'm sure you wouldn't like people picking through your backlong pointing out everything that this person or that person found not 100% accurate in your work.

Actually speaking of bad grammar, isn't the "fuckin" word in your title incorrect, as it states an action he would currently be engaging in, and not a characteristic of his being?

Mistakes are to be expected. What makes this mistake a problem is that, to repeat, it directly and adversely affected my job. I was hired under the provisio that I leave behind all my print gigs, but a few of my co-workers and press contacts read Rob's article (via this thread) and asked me what was up. I had to reassure at least a dozen people that I'm not violating the terms of my contract, that I'm fully committed to Atlus, et cetera. And now I need to worry about Rob getting into E3 and hurting me or someone else.

oh boy, children please calm down. don't you guys know threats on the internet are normally as valid some perv in a chat room saying "i'm going fuck you in the but with a kosher salami"? its probably not going to happen.
anyways, zm, calm down mr high and mighty. *golf clap* you are in the industry, yippy, now try to respect other people trying to make it as well by maybe pulling them to the side and telling them their errors (pm) instead of unleashing a crap bomb on them in the public eye.
rcm, just be carful about what you say. take a sec to read over what you post before it causes another napalm flinging fiesta. ciao

Hundreds of "pervs" have been arrested for their chat-room comments, under the assumption that those comments were valid. And this isn't the first time that Rob has issued a threat of physical violence in these forums, so I have no choice but to take his threats seriously.

There's a note in the interview that states: Meston does Videogame Collector (Meston is no longer with that magazine). The interview isn't altered and now the facts are correct. I can admit to making a mistake.
Don't worry about me at E3. I'll be in a hockey mask with a chainsaw, you'll spot me easy. You're the one that needs help, there's no threat here.

Let's be real here. RCM ain't gonna stab a brother.
And it makes it look like you're just getting some petty revenge for what must've been all of five minutes of intense abdominal discomfort (not saying you are, but that's the obvious first suspicion, one that I don't buy, of course, but you gotta think what this makes you look like).
Jeez.
RCM, have some better taste when putting hoes in the header of your article (well, I'm assuming that's what passes for a header at your site) ;)
