Well, I know Working Designs is no more, and it seems their website went with them. Not only is http://www.workingdesigns.com now dead, but much of its content - namely, the Museum - isn't even in The Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org).

Quite a shame, this. It seems there were some advertismenets in there that might not be available elsewhere. I don't suppose someone had the forsight to mirror the website elsewhere?

What is this museum you speak of?

If it's worthwhile, I would stake my NES collection on a mirror existing--somewhere.

It was like a database of the history of Working Designs, tons of screenshots, information, and scans of the covers of all the titles they localized. ...yet another publisher gone from Northen California.

Update: I couldn't find a mirror either, Google Images has thumbnails of the graphics but of course nothing else. I can't look at those though, just makes the loss even worse.

I decided to poke around the Lunar-Net messageboards as I figured that would be the best place to see if anyone had archived it but........ Lunar-Net is down right now. :/

Actually, the museum was even more extensive than that. The particular items I am looking for are ads for the TG16 version of Loom and the Sega CD version of Slipheed.

most of the links dont work, but some do, so i guess it's a step towards what you're looking for

Tried it and it doesn't help much. Honestly I've always felt the Internet Archive Wayback Machine is a freaking waste since it doesn't do what many would like it to - and that's fully archive sites.

In other news, Lunar-Net is back up, might want to ask around there and I'll continue to scan their forums. If you do happen to come across a full archive (I'd like the whole damn site sans their boards for preservation) please let me know and I'll do the same.

WD was well known for pulling images quickly and though the links/descriptions were still there, the pics and whatnot were all gone.

The site touted the 9 Alundra covers, yet despite the mention of them and the pictures of them on the site, I never actually found them on there (as they'd been pulled eons before). Only did massive digging cough up them on a RPG site.

The site's museum was never all that big, and for the most part what they mentioned wasn't anything huge or in the realm of the unknown. Its sad its gone, but the site was never that huge of a trove of info, nor was it even all that updated its last 3 years of life. I mean one site update a year and just the intro page at that, doesn't really do much of anything for any viewers.

@InsaneDavid, WD was never a Bay Area company. They were located farther north, much closer to Sacramento. If anything they were a valley company.

I meant to say Northen California, original post edited. I've been kind of out of it since the SSCX Subspace / Continuum server was pulled a couple days ago. :(
