Paypal has banned playboy sales.

I need a different online pay method-- easy to use like paypal?

Just a few dollars. You mean "psuedo cash" using paypal?

Can I list that in my auction? "Will accept paypal psuedo cash." Probably not.

Just list them with money orders. Is that too difficult to do?

Listing? No. Waiting for the MO? Yes. Driving to the bank? Yes. Wondering if it's counterfeit & bounces? Yes

Your advice didn't help. MO's not an "online payment"

A simple "no" would have sufficed.

Have you tried Bidpay?

Go to a currency exchange place, or somewhere where cashes are well, cashed. They don't care if it bounces, usually. :P

Just stae in your auction that you will only accept paypal upon written request, or something similar, then have the buyer send you payment for a non-auction and have the winner put the item number in the "notes to seller" box.

Paypal doesn't HAVE to know what the money is for.

Christ, dont make him drive to the bank. If he had to do that his handling charges would jump over $10 per magazine. LOL

Place in your ad the following:

"If you'd like to be a "pal" and "pay" with a popular Internet electronic system, I would be happy to accept. Please email me for details before paying if you're the winner."

As I understand it, you can get away with it as long as the eBay item number does NOT appear in the Paypal transaction. Paypal/eBay DO check this stuff and WILL yank your accounts if they thing you're up to something. But if the winner is clear and pays either using pseudo-cash or for "goods (non-auction)," then there's not much they can say about it.

Money Orders are essentially "bounce-proof"... because they are prepaid. So that takes care of that. Plus, no Paypal fees to worry about. But then again, there is that convenience factor.

And really, who would take the time to make a counterfeit money order? Well, I'm sure it's happened plenty of times before.

My guess is that he's scared of being scammed in much the same way Western Union is supposed to be used for scamming. Which I still can't figure out... jeez.

Anyway, it depends on the company. I usually get Western Union Money Orders, and another company which I can't recall the name of. The money orders have many different security measures, and I make sure that they're all legit before cashing them. Simple.
