I got Ultima today, bookmarked it as a search on ebay and it popped up only every few weeks, so i consider it rare.

Well if your search turned up no results on the internet, then it is either rare, or dosnt exist....

Jesus Christ, enough with the Star Hawk already. Nobody knows, ok! This is like, the fifth post you've made about it. I suspect it's rare. I don't know European GB rarity. I'm having a hard enough time as is trying to get some form of rarity down pat for American GB rarity down pat, which may or may not go towards VGB's handheld rarity guide... it's too be determined.
But Jesus HHH Christ, drop the Star Hawk shit already!

Hey Charlie, do you collect GB games? ....
Charlie
02-16-2003, 09:16 PM
Sure do... sort of. LOL. Well, I didn't really start 'collecting' them until I was put to the task of getting some sort of rarity list going. But now I'm snatching some up for sure.

Right, no problem, sorry for my reaction, but if i recently have a game and i donīt know the rarity, i get nervous and more nervous if there is nothing on the web...well, the name appeared, but anything else.
Sorry again charlie

Hello Kitty Cube Frenzy went for about $70 on ebay a few weeks ago. I have no idea if that means anything though.
@AD: Why would you be nervous about it? Just curious.

Arqeologia! Relax! ;) Here is what i actually found just before you annoced your find of StarHawk:
Screenshots of StarHawk

Since I saw that, and shooters are my favorite kind of game, i have been looking for a copy of StarHawk. :) So if you want to get rid of it, let me know :)
As far as other rare GB games, I have heard (but have no hard info to back me up) that Cannon Fodder (at least the North Amer. version) was a small print run. I also know I had A VERY hard time finding Mr. Driller after passing it up new. I eventually just ordered a new UK one on eBay. Got it for US$15. :)

I've only seen one copy of Survival Kids before...and it's MINE! damn good game too.

Yeah Survival Kids is rare as well. I really lucked out when I got mine though. I was reading about obscure GB games on some website (can't remember which), and SK sounded cool. So I went to my (at the time) Funcoland, about 30 minutes later. They had one copy of SK in the used GB section! First try! :) I got the loose cart for about $12 IIRC :)
BTW- Survival Kids was released as Stranded Kids in UK/Europe

I remember when Funco did their price lists, they always had an Atari 2600 pack listed. I'm assuming this was a goof, but I'd love to hear somone actually has it.
Plus I've never seen a copy of Miner 2049er GB.

@Captain Wrong: I don't think it was released but yes, I've heard that some stores listed it as "To be released."

Isn't a GB rarity list a pretty huge undertaking? I'm just saying... how would you go about determining rarity? Basing it on how many copies you saw at your local store isn't always the best determining factor, and eBay is always a crapshoot (as it is for any system). Just curious. As someone who hopes (someday) to collect GB, it'd be nice to have a guide of sorts, but....damn, that's a task and a half.

Yeah, it's pretty tough going. Game Boy is very, very hard to determine rarity, for many reasons, the biggest of which is how much people charge for the damn things.
First off, Ebay is not reliable at all, so that's not factored in. Number of copies I've had access too factors in a little. Paying attention to sales charts, stuff like that... always important. Number of prints, when I can get them, is important.
I'm looking for help, that's for sure. Anyone who runs a game store could help me big time by letting me know what they have in stock, and how often certain games come in. Especially on the East Coast.

Thanks, but i need a screenshot of the box and the inside of the box, because i see recently a pic in Epinions.com and the Nintendo GB logo and the Accolade logo are in different places, i think mine itīs pirate but when i tested it the accolade logo and all the rest are ok, included the plastic box, so...iīm not right sure. If i can, i will post a pic. Thanks again
