Hey guys,
This has been discussed in another thread already but I figured it needed its own thread with a new subject line.
Shakespeare Video Game Store (which was in the Trumbull, CT mall), has reopened in Fairfield, CT on the post road. He got a nice set up going. His store is a rare find in this state. No one cares to sell the classics any more lets give this guy his credit for being in business so long and giving us a great alternative to EB and GS. CT needs stores like this. We all need classic games. Here is a message from him directly

quote:
hey, guys, we're back in business! the mall has been raising rent like crazy, so it no longer made any sense whatsoever being there. we're located in the bob's stores plaza on the post rd in fairfield (915 post rd). it's right off exit 22 off 95. the store is still messy, but not nearly as bad as before, but the ugly cardboard cutouts are still there! u guys crack me up with your posts. i never realized how popular my store was! i appreciate it! our phone number is 203-255-1300 (or u can use the old phone # which is forwarded into the store: 203-373-9872.) we still fix stuff (which explains the mess) and we're trying to make the prices less "wacky"! take care. hope to see u guys soon!

Hahahahahahah, so Im watching peoples court today. Its a repeat btw, which I have seen a while ago. Anyways so Its a case over a portable dvd player that was brought into a repair shop and it wasn't fixable and the shop ruined the player even more.

So what shop was it? Shakespeares!!!

I totally forgot about this episode, and remember watching it a while ago. When it came on today I was like meh I dont want to watch this one again but didnt want to go look for the remote. I remember last time I watched this and hearing the defendents last name and it sounded familiar.

Now watching it again I remembered the store in trumbull and this topic and put it all together.. Hahah

Anyways he lost....$50.

damn - the guy went to court (on tv) for 50$ ?

i would have just given the guy his 50$ back

- i think he should have won -- don't you bring things into repair shops at your own risk?

Not only that but you don't bring something into a repair shop if it's not already broken.

the son of the plantiff droped it, it worked but the screen was just darker. So she tried bringing it there since the plantiffs kids went there a lot. He said he wasn't sure if he could fix it but he would look at it free of charge. Wound up loosing the power switch, and just gave it back to her open and not working.

It was his fault...he shouldn't of lost the power switch hehe

LOL

I saw that too.

Fifty bucks for a lost power button seems fair. I mean don't take the job if you don't think you can do it. And even if you think you can but find you can't, don't lose parts in the process.
