Now that I'm aware of the level of disingenuity expected of ebay sellers, I am going to make my fortune!

Template for justifying $100+ in Handling Fees:

$2.50 Ebay fees

$2.50 Paypal fees

$5.00 bubble mailer (I don't know where you bought yours. They cost $5.00 here)

$15 gas for trip to store to purchase bubble mailer ($2.20/ gal., 20 mile round trip, vehicle is 1953 Massey Ferguson Combine)

$15 gas for trip to post office

$50 potential cost of my time to list item, if I had been at work (2 hrs @$25/ hr.)

$2.75 Boner fee

$13 reimbursement for day I spent at the flea market, where Item was located originally (gas, food, Purell, Visine)

$.31 Three paper towels and 1/2 oz. of Windex to clean up item for listing photo.

$.75 Estimated pro-rated reimbursement for the decrease in lifespan of 4 AA Nicad batteries resulting from another charging cycle resulting from digital camera photos being taken of Item.

$3.00 "wear and tear" on digital camera.

$4.25 miscellaneous

$7 electricity usage surcharge (7 day listing, 7 days of monitoring auction inside house, average draw of 2kWh/ day @$.50/kWh)

$5.00 secondary handling

$12.50 unusable photons

Your fees are okay but your prices are too high.

$1.25 Ebay fees for $10 item
$0.75 Paypal fees for $10 item
$1.00 bubble mailer (at the post office)
$0.25 gas for post office trip ($2.50 divided by 10 items)
$0.01 Three towels and Windex to clean up item
$0.00001 decrease in lifespan of 4 AA (camera)
$0.00001 "wear and tear" on digital camera.
$0.00001 electricity usage surcharge
========
$3.35
handling fee

Not legit:
$2.75 Boner fee
$13 reimbursement for day I spent at the flea market, where Item was located originally (gas, food, Purell, Visine)

$50 potential cost of my time to list item, if I had been at work (2 hrs @$25/ hr.)

Maybe you should forget ebay. Throw old junk in the trash & focus on working $25/hour overtime instead

My "boner fee" would have to be a lot larger than that.
