Not sure if I'd call him the best, but Kefka surely beats the pats off of sephiroth, at the very least.

I would have to go with Shao Khan from MK series, or M. Bison from the Streetfighter games >) :o >:(

Shao Khan is evil, but Kintaro is far more destructive.

Geese is a badass as well. He fell off a building and died, yet he's still kicking ass all over the place. LOL

Akuma is pure evil as well. :devilish:

King Dedede rules all.

The Robotrons.

Cold, emotionless, remorseless killing machines. They have only one purpose: destroy humanoids.

Makes everyone else seem kindly in comparison. Even Shang Tsung was able to form an alliance with Quan Chi. :-D

The Robotrons would have killed both of them on the spot.

Goombas. Highly trained, highly effective, suicidal killing machines.

Highly trained and effective? Are you talking about cyborg-goombas? The ones I've seen pass out at the sight of Mario's boot! :D

Dracula. He continues to resurrect himself throughout many centuries on a quest to turn the world to darkness. He has the power to resurrect and create many different monsters and minions to do his bidding, such as Frankenstein, the Mummy etc. Dracula has also been with us longer than any other videogame villain out there. He has a past well before videogames came to fruition, thru books and movies. Dracula is also a ladies man. He has character, he has the power of darkness, and he has something that attracts ladies. He is the best villain ever.

I vote for Evil Otto from "Berzerk"
or the yellow duck - er dragon from "Adventure."

C'mon, it's King Koopa. The great turtle sorceror who just won't give up! He may not be the best villain, and he may be a bit nearsighted in his plans, but dammit, he's persistent.

I agree, Kefka whips Sephiroth's ass. But they're both not the best.

Ghaleon from Lunar Silver Star. His laughing was the best.

And, damn, what was the name of the evil computer from System Shock.....System Shock 2 is in my top 3 PC games ever, and why can't I think of the name....

Dr. Wily from Megaman

The first "best" that came to mind was WARIO.

I didn't interpret "best" as scariest or most evil, I actually interpreted it as most memorable or most "villainous". Let's face it. Wario rocks. And I'm really not a big fan of the Mario universe.

Fav villians:

Ghaleon- He was just manical and evil. His voice and his laugh were just deliously evil sounding also.

Kefka- The mad clown.

Sephiroth- What other boss can summon a meteor that rips through the solar system and rain hell down on your heros? One Winged Angel kicks ass also.

System Shock = SHODAN

My vote goes for the Uhlek, the faceless superpowerful aliens from Starflight. If you encounter them, they don't waste time with words, they just blast you with Plasma Bolts until you're good and dead. You never find out much about them in the first game except that they are a collective mind, but it just makes them all the more eerie. (I've often wondered if the Star Trek writer who came up with the Borg ever played Starflight -- Uhlek and Borg have some key things in common)

In Starflight II when you get to learn the Uhlek's true identity (and get your hands on some of their weapons technology too). Man, I loved that series.

The Space Invaders. They were relentless, they just kept coming, marching into certain death, one after another. You have to admire that determination. :-D

Nemisis from RE3
Giant robot creature from Onimusha 2:samurai's destiny

I'd have to say Golvellius, just because I LOVED that game as a kid, and when I finally beat it, and saw Golvellius in the ending screens and found out he wasn't all that bad, it just made him that much better to me...

I used to draw all different kind of pictures of him, weildind two Katanas, cause that's what it looks like he's weilding in the game, to me anyway, even tho he doesn't use them really.

Interesting question, kinda hard to answer as its hard to peg down a specific.

In a classic sense- Death in Gauntlet: Who can really top this? Hides behind walls in the classic games and steals your life. Can only be destroyed with a potion, which is in limited quantity.

In a modern sense- Great Mighty Poo from Conker's Bad Fur Day. Just nudges the haystack boss out by a skooch. He's one of the most memorable and one of the more deadly bosses out there. Ya can't smack him with a frying pan but you have to use the context-sensitive pads to lob TP at him when his mouth is open. Fast, deadly, and a good singer to boot.
