Anyone here fix Xboxes?

I think mine is dying a slow, painful death. Whever I turn it on, I get this grinding noise. It works, but I'm getting more and more DRE errors. I'm assuming it's the the disc drive (it's a launch day console, though it hasn't given me an error up to this point), but I don't want to lose all the stuff on the hard drive either if that's the problem.

So, what would a drive replacement cost? Hard drive (I don't want one of those "mega" consoles; just the basics)?

OSG does it all, from the mega upgrade, to the basic repair.

However, if you are at all handy, and it's just DRE, you may be able to source a DVDrom drive online and install it yourself. Buy from a reputable seller. There are many substandard *new* drives out there, and when you DIY, you get no warranty or gaurantee.
