I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this thread, but here goes:

Does anyone remember a cartoon from the 80's that had Mad Max, Bigfoot (the truck) and the guy from Wizards & Warriors in it? There were some other characters too... and i think this show was part of the Super Mario Bros. show, but i can't remember.

I've been looking for stuff online, but i haven't found anything.. and i'm seriously starting to think i made this show up.

Am i the only one who remembers it?

That was the cartoon that aired in the middle of Video Power, "The Power Team". It wasn't related to the SMB Super Show at all.

Boy did that show suck. I stopped occasionally watching it when it went to that game show format. But now, thanks to this thread, I'm reminded of how lame Johnny Arcade was. God, I thought I'd blocked him from my memory for good...

*shudder*

Totally, I had the same thing, but now I can't remember anything else about it.

Correct Sir!

Kuros, Kwirk, Bigfoot, Johnny Arcade, A harlem Globetrotter?

It was kinda cool when you were little, the game show format was better IMHO

That wasn't a Harlem Globetrotter, it was Tyrone from "Arch Rivals". Also that wasn't Mad Max, I can't remember his name, but he was supossed to be the blue cop from Narc.

Thanks for making this topic :D I used to watch this show (the gameshow version) all the time when I was a kid, but I could not remember what the name of it was. The host was so cool to me when I was young :p I remember he used to always sit in this chair and would put his leg up on one of the arms of the chair, and I thought that was the coolest, and so I started doing that as well :embarrassed:

Do you guys have any idea of a site that might have some of the episodes to download? I would love to be able to watch some episodes again.

I used to watch this show too because it was one of the only things videogame related on TV, so I natuarally had to eat it up as a kid. I hated the host of this show...he was such a spastic hyper-active dick who thought he was so damn funny (he was NOT funny in any way, ever), and all he was was a complete dork that made you feel 10 times stupider and dorkier for even hearing his stupid voice.

Johnny Arcade. Game show host. Dick.

Mad Max? It was Max Force. Basically a bunch of Acclaim/Midway "characters."

So you had Kuros from Wizards and Warriors, Qwirk, Max Force, Bigfoot, Mr. Big, Tyrone (from Arch Rivals LOL ) and a bunch of others would make cameos.

Originally the Video Power show would be mostly live action with that Johnny Arcade (someone want to google this? Wonder whatever happened to this guy) guy giving tips for and reviewing the hottest games.

Later on Video Power become a straight up game show, completely different set and format and they ditched the cartoon for most episodes.

The finale of the game show was that the winner got to run through a maze of shelves with tons of games, able to keep whatever they could carry.

I remember a kid actually looked at the Neo Geo and grabbed NES Flying Dragon instead. LOL

Johnny Arcade (someone want to google this? Wonder whatever happened to this guy)

No need for Google, I just went to the IMDB:

And here's what ol' Johnny's been doing lately. (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0664635/)

here's the intro to video power. I used to love this show

http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/378-video-power/

I remember at the end of the show the winner would get to run through a video store and velcro games to their jumsuit, whatever they come out with they get to keep.

Yeah they don't make video games shows with the same high quality they used to...

...thank god.
