Hi all,
I picked up a Playstation Debugging system today it is the blue ntsc version. It came system only and my adjustable plug does not have a connection that will fit it. Does the debugging system use the same power adapter as regular systems in America?. The cables we use over here (UK) have a standard 2 pin connector.

Basically I would just like to test it before it goes on ebay. :D

TIA.

Interesting... where did you get it from btw? I got mine randomly found in a GAME store LOL

Thing is, despite being PAL it had a Japanese power supply inside, though still use the figure 8 adapter. I figure it was a real early model.

Yours should use the standard US PS1 power cable, though if you're testing it here, don't forget the stepdown transformer ;)

Hi Mayhem,
I got it from a boot fair for £3, the seller was using it to prop up their mobile phones. @_@ LOL

I have a stepdown ready and waiting. :)

Paul.

I'm guessing you have the version that takes 12v DC. Model number should be DTL-10102... or something like that. You should be able to crack it open and replace the power supply with the retail version without any problems. Otherwise you can wire up a 12v DC external supply. I'd just replace the internal supply if i were you, it pops right out.

Yes it is the 12v DC version. Can anyone confirm a regular US playstation power supply will work?. Not really looking to open it up and mess with it.

I'll confirm that it'll work.
