(Info/please) Starfox Competition in Japan??

Hey peeps,

Just a quick question, I know there were Starfox/starwing competitions in Europe, the UK and the USA, but does anybody know if there was a Japanese Competition? i mean the game was pretty big and it was launched in japan first (i think?) So surely they had the comp as well??

Any info would be good thanks.

Wasn't the game developed by a EU or NA development team? If yes, that pretty much answers the question why there isn't one.

The game was jointly developed between Argonaut in the UK and Nintendo in Japan. I believe Argonaut did the game design and Nintendo did the character design. I think Argonaut also "designed" the Super FX to go in the cart.

I've got the Japanese version of the game at home, there's certainly a large mix of English names in the credits list.
