I hit the eBay front page a little past midnight and saw that today was 10 cent fixed listing day. If you have an eBay store, today's the day to load up for cheap.

Hope this notice gives some of you enough time to take advantage!

Huh....and now it's gone. :hmm:

Lest you think I'm crazy, the center ad on the main page had a big-assed circle with 10 cents in it with "Fixed Prices" below it. The date - March 15 - was also there. Right now, I'm guessing someone at eBay jumped the gun and the sale doesn't begin until later in the day. I'll keep watching for it, but it's not there as of 12:45 a.m. (And I tried to post a fixed listing, but it came up at regular price.)

Is this only for Stores? I don't have a Store.

No, it's for everyone, but remember, it's fixed price auctions only. These sale days are clutch for items of a relatively set value above $50.

Maybe I'm missing something, but aren't ebay Store listings $.02/each/month? Why would this sale be good for Store owners?

If no one bid yet you are safe.

First drop the price down to 1 cent and submit it.

Then end the auction early or change it to something else.

Then relist the expensive item with the 10 cent fixed price.

Purpose of dropping to 1 cent?

I just saw it myself. I will definitely be listing some items today for sure. :D

eBay had a 10 cent day recently... how often do they do this? Anyone know? Last time was a Tuesday IIRC.

time to do that fancy link text trick pinned as a sticky :P

It was the last Tuesday in February I believe, it's been a little over 2 weeks.

How much does ebay usually charge for selling stuff in the first place? :?

$0.01 - $0.99 = $0.20 listing fee
$1.00 - $9.99 = $0.35 listing fee
$10.00 - $24.99 = $0.60 listing fee
$25.00 - $49.99 = $1.20 listing fee
$50.00 - $199.99 = $2.40 listing fee

Today it's only 0.10 for everything. You don't really save much... just a few dollars. I have a Star Trek DVD I want to sell for $90. Will save only $2.30 listing today.

Probably better off with a regular auction ending on Sunday night.

For those of you who can't find this:

http://pages.ebay.com/promo/10fixprice/

It's on the FRONT PAGE. :P

I'm likely going to put up a bunch of stuff I couldn't sell before today. Wheeee.

Edit:
Call me dumb, but if I list something and want to sell it with Buy It Now, I still get charged for the BIN upgrade, right?

I was wondering the same thing, but I found:

"All other fees (Final Value Fees and all other optional listing upgrade fees*) will still be charged."

I have a really dumb question. Now I've sold thousands of items but have never taken advantage of a 10 cent fee day.

now I listed a few items and I see turbo lister charges you the regular listing fees and ebay charges your account the regular fees. Do they go back to your account after and change the listing fee to 10 cents?

sorry for the nube question but I can't find the answer ebays site.

thanks, dave
