Do you mean The New Super Mario Bros or Mario 64 DS. If you mean the New Super Mario Bros then yes it's nothing like Mario 64 it's more like the 2D Mario games on the NES and SNES, but with better graphics. However, if you mean Mario 64 DS then yes it is exactly the same as Mario 64 with added mini games and a couple more stars.

It's an enhanced remake. There are more stars to collect, for example, more places to go, etc.

And I don't recall Yoshi playable in the first.

Grammer painful, brain exploding. :P

Anyways it's a very nice enhanced remake, the only real flaw is that the touch-screen doesn't compare to having a real stick.

I was a huge Mario 64 fan. It was the game that got me back into gaming again.

I am going to take your comment one step further. I think the touch screen almost makes this game unplayable. Compared to the amount of control you get with the stick, this game on the DS is one of the most frustrating things I have ever encountered.

The mini games are excellent though.

Let me say I love this game to me the digital pad for playing
feels so much more natural then the 64 stick, I know it sounds
odd but that just the way I like it for this title 8-)
