How's the gameplay for Liberty or Death? (SNES/GEN)

It looks like Iron Storm (Saturn).

Decently uncommon and in the $15 range too I see. Would like opinions on the game/gameplay, thanks.

I had quite a blast with that game back when it came out, but I haven't played it in a long time. If I recall correctly, the combat was a good bit different from Iron Storm's and overall the game was more difficult (but far easier to get into that any of the Romance of the Three Kingdom games).

A friend of mine borrowed it and plowed through the game like it was nothing, whereas it took me quite a few games before I was able to beat those pesky red coats the fuck off my land.

Now that you mention it, I have the hankerin' to play the sucker again. Shame I'm too busy trying to work my way through Rebelstar Tactical Command, but I'll throw LoD into the queue :)

I've been told it was a scaled down version of the Romance series and the Nobunaga's series. That said, it is one of the games I have looked long and hard for yet has eluded me all this time. I dont know if I want the nes or snes version as I'd be happy getting either at this point.
