Whether playing the games themselves, to buying them.

I think it's very real.

For instance I have an online friend who recently shared with me this story.

He bought two games on eBay from one seller. The seller sent him two different games. He emails the seller, and they agree to send back the games for two OTHER game replacements.

Low and behold, the very next day his ACTUAL games come. He kept shush about it, as he'd be getting now, essentially, two free games.

He told me karma caught up with him when he later bought a pricey game that didn't work and the seller didn't accept refunds. Can't say he didn't deserve it, you know.

As for me, recently I was interested in buying 2 games for $16. I asked the guy to put it on hold for a while, eventually to say "sorry for wasting your time." A week later, I got some extra cash and decided "yeah I'd like to do the deal now."

He made me wait (intentionally or unintentionally I can't tell) a week myself, and told me in the end "sorry I decided not to do the sell."

Heh. Karma is very real IMHO. You want to be a good person (and gamer, IMO) in general... so if you find yourself in some "shady" waters my warning to you is be careful... eventually the tide turns against you.

Hell yes. My best example is last summer when I was watching a modded PlayStation on eBay. It had a couple complete games such as Puzzle Fighter (originals) and was a nice lot if the system was chipped or not. I put in a bid with a day to go and got an e-mail from another bidder asking me questions about modded original PlayStations and the like since the seller told them that they couldn't respond. So we talked for awhile and I explained to them the things they wanted to know, and with a few hours left the next day, that person had top bid. Considering how inexperenced they were with importing games and how that was a perfect package for them, I didn't bid again and they went on to win the auction.

The next day I was at the flea market (got a really late start that day and didn't get out there until around noon) and people were going through the trash piles were everyone dumps their unsold stuff. I saw a guy, maybe high school age, with a PlayStation under his arm and was talking about what "might" be wrong with it. I figured oh well and went around the entire flea market, finding nothing and looping all the way back around to leave. I passed that same trash pile on the way out and what was atop it? The PlayStation that guy had. Not a big deal but free is free, so I grabbed it. Took it home, cleaned it up and it actually had a mod chip installed in it. LOL After restoration and some tuning it works perfectly.

"So shines a good deed in a weary world."

Of course!

I always throw in that extra game or go that extra mile to find something for someone. As you personally know as well as others.

Though I usually don't get anything "extra" from forum members I instead find it in the wild. I've said this once and ill say it again I still can't believe I found a mas systems supernova (super gun for those that don't know) with three games for $100 at thrift store. It simply blew my mind that it was there. I look at that as the one amazing thing I got for hooking people up in the years. Whether it be that extra game I throw in or something I found for someone when I go to japan all that made up for my supergun.

Yup Darren, you gave me some nice deals in the past month. You're a top seller and I'd buy more from you if my 16-bit want list wasn't so dried up after the intense buying I done the past 2 months (exactly to this day in fact) :P

Karma?

Sorry, just had to throw that in.

Haha exactly. Since that damn show have started everyone is like "hey.. karma" :(
Afaik karma is how your afterlife would be. If you have good karma (for those who belive in it) you will have a good afterlife or be reborn as something great.

Before no1 "knew" what karma was and never spoke about it or cared, except the hindus of course. If you belive in karma you might as well belive in god, trolls and magic too. If karma really excistsed guys like Hitler, Mao, Milosevic, Ivan the Terrible and all the other grusome people would have died fast, which they unfortunatly didnt do :( If you do good things good things will happend to you yes because people are nice back at you, nothing amazing about that. If people would call that karma i agree, but when i heard people talk about it it seems like there some magic aura they talk about or something.

About being a good gamer, thats all about practice. It doesnt matter if your straight, gay, white, black, good, evil or dead (maybe not dead), you might still be damn good at playing games. Satan could still kick jesus ass in Counter Strike, all about practice and luck ;)

So no, i do not belive in what people refer to as karma. As i said, if your good to people, people are nice back to you,but that is logical It doesnt mean good things will happend to you as in winning the lottery etc. Thats all about luck and coincidence. Like Earl, only coincidence that he was hit by that car and lost the ticket hehe :P When you run out in the street and dont look to the side everyone can be hit by a car. Even if your damn good and nice to everyone you can still be gunned down by a maniac. So much for karma :\

My 2 cents.

HAHA! What would Earl do? I was just waiting for someone to post the "My Name is Earl" references. I love that show.

I definately believe in Karma. I sold a friend my longbox copy of Jumping Flash for the PSX (a fave of mine) for $5 because my PSX had been stolen at that point ('bout a year and a half ago)..

Karma paid me back last month when I inherited an pre-dual shock model Playstation. But, no games. So maybe I'm being punished for something I didn't realize I did.

Guess I should start a list... LOL

I'm gonna stop you right there.
"Afaik"?
As far as you know what?
You don't know anything about the afterlife, if/what/whatever.
Neither do any of us.
Believe what you wanna believe, think what you wanna think, but when it comes to stuff like that, none of us know jack shit no matter how much we want to think we do.

Did i say i knew anything about the afterlife? :P
Im saying in religions they belive that if you have good karma you will have a great afterlife. If you have bad karma you will have a bad afterlife. That covers the "afaik" part.
