That's hard to say; many popular titles have their values rocket because of the sad types who collect them. Honestly, even on eBay you can find a number of great titles sealed for $30 and under - if you wait until the right time.

Sealed NES games are worth about $0.50 but since I like you, I'll pay double that.
heh...jk. I've been wondering the same thing lately. I mean a loose SMB is worth about a quarter...but whats a sealed one worth? Probably 100 times more. The only sealed game I have is Burgertime for the INTV.

SMB would be a bit tougher to find as a regular release instead of a packin, I'd think. That's definitely the case with Super Mario World on SNES.

There is no such thing. They're all reseals if you read the eBay Insanity forum

I'm off my high horse about sealed games, as I got one recently myself. That doesn't change the fact that a seller stands to make a tidy sum off sealed FF2s, Contra Forces, or Castlevania IIIs.
I think it works like this: Low priced auction for a game with relatively little market (even quality titles like Metal Storm or Rolling Thunder) = less chance of it being a reseal. High starting bid = beware.
