Wow that looks sweet. My father collectors model toy trains and loves the classic American steam engines of the 1800's. I'm sure he'll love this.

This should be a great game. I can't wait to play it hopefully by then I'll have my new computer so that I'll be able to.

LOL The leading and trailing wheels of the locomotive in the second picture are off the track. Actually there are the some hiccups in the first picture. Ah, early development, oh well. This looks great, the only games like this (outside of the SNES version of SimCity) I ever cared for were the original Railroad Tycoon and A-Train (Take The A-Train IV being the only console release to come out in the US as "A-Train" on the PlayStation) so this is a welcome sight. :) I haven't bought a PC game since picking up an original release copy of The Last Express second hand a few years ago. LOL

Well I just got it today... I was going to wait until it went on sale, since it's $40, but I just couldn't stand to wait for it any longer... it's been over 6 months since I started this thread and started waiting for it already now... Merry Xmas!

So far I'm loving it... the train table mode is great... like a virtual model railroad... one can never have too many of those... even if I do already own several similar games...

I'm surprised that this game isn't getting more attention and exposure though... I mean come on, it's Sid Meier... since when has he ever made a really unpopular game?

I expected to find it at my local WalMart on its first day of release, but neither one of the two WalMarts closest to me has it yet... go figure... and here I thought that this game would be easy to find everywhere, as soon as it came out... I guess it' just not a Roller Coaster Tycoon calibre game...

Anyway, I finally found it at my local Fry's... thank God for them... if it wasn't for them, I'd be ording it online by now...

Console owners, eat your heart out... no version for any system other than the PC yet... although I expect that it will appear on one or more of the current or next gen systems sooner or later... the multiplayer maps are just begging for a version that can be played on XBOX Live...

ALL ABOOOAAARD!
