I had some CIB NES games that just ended today and I was very surprised at how low a couple of them ended...
DK Classics (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8267460384&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&rd=1)
The Little Mermaid (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8267470200&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&rd=1)
What do you guys think?
I got a little more than I expected on some others, so it's no big deal.

Yeah, I would expect that you would get a little bit more. Especially conisdering how complete Little Mermaid is. But that's the chance you take when you sell on ebay, I guess. I'm sure you could have gotten $10 a pop if you sold them in the Buying and Selling forums.

That's the funny part, I had them listed as part of the huge NES list I have for sale in the B&S Forum and no one really asked about them.

Man those did go for cheap, it seems like a whole bunch of NES stuff, maybe other systems but NES is what I'm looking for, was posted this week, even more so than normal, so maybe the extra competition is what kept the prices down.

Might have gotten lost in the shuffle of the long list.

What's even more strange is that I actually got MUCH more than I expected for the other CIB NES games that ended at the same time. I really thought that the two from the OP would bring the most though. Overall, I still ended up with more money total than I expected, so I can't really complain...just thought it was strange. :)

I think I found out what you did wrong.
It seems you didn't put it in the NES Nintendo category by changing the item specifics at the top of Page Two when you listed them. This means that anyone simply browsing the NES category or searching for "Donkey Kong" in the NES category only would not have found your game.
Everything else (title, description, photo, your feedback) was great, so that is the only explanation.

Thanks for the tip ryborg. If anyone else has any suggestions on how to improve eBay auctions and descriptions, feel free to post away.

eBay is completely random. Good luck finding a more insane marketplace. I sold a used GH FF7 for $47 the a couple weeks ago, explain that one. I've had my share of surprisingly low ending price items too.
