It looks interesting, but I've never played it. I saw this game in a guy's booth at a flea market. He doesn't deal in games, so I wonder what I should offer, or should I just let him offer, first. It looked complete and it generally costs a lot online.

$10-15. It's a fun game, though. There are better tactics games on the PS1, but Vandal Hearts is still pretty good.

Half a dozen eggs, 3 dead chickens, a pound of potatoes, 2 ounces of milk, and a small bag of skittles. I'll even throw in a few twist ties and plastic grocery bags to hold it all in.

Ya know, the funny thing is we could actualy meet up and trade if we wanted to (your in houston, i'm in houston) but if your talking money, I'd say 10-15 as well. It's a good game, but there are much better in it's genre for the same system.

H-Town represent!

I've only met one Houston DP member so far. We seriously need to get a Houston area DP group meeting going; something on a regular basis, ya know? Once or twice a month....or more.

There's at least 4 or 5 more DP members that are here in Houston. 8-)

Am I the only one that had Secret of Evermore pop in mind just now? :P

I'd say if it is mint $15+.

It was the first tactics (strategy/RPG) game that I ever played. It is also the only one that I have played to its completion. I think it is a very good game and worthy of having in your library.

I picked it up back in December for $5 mint and complete. Well, actually my friend got it. The little bastard didn't get me a present for my 21st so I somewhat stuck him in a corner to get it. :D What are friends for...

Actually, he wanted $2. Only problem was that one of the discs was missing. I did get 3 other games for $5 total, though. Let's see... Beast Wars, F.R.A.G., and some boat racing game.

It's a single disc game. It just comes in one of the double sized cases.

Please, before you assume a disc is missing, look at the little logo on a wide PS1 jewel case. In the lower left hand corner, right next to the word Playstation, and right underneath the cover art, is a little disc lgo that says right underneath it how many discs the game is on. In the case of Vandal Hearts, it says 1 disc and shows one disc drawn there. There are quite a few PS1 games that come in wide jewel cases yet only have one disc. Another good example would be Suikoden. If you look at a 2 disc game, you'll notice that the logo says 2 discs, and also has 2 discs drawn there.

And this is off topic, but why does this site have Vandal Hearts II listed as being developed by Game Arts? I'm fairly confident that Konami didn't out source this title to another developer.

Damn.

It's an easy mistake. I'd go back for that Vandal Hearts if I were you, though. ;)

It's a fun game, one of the first PS1 games I got back in the day. I'd go grab it.

Grab it, I did. It was in the most ghetto of all ghetto flea markets. The vendor hadn't shown up when I arrived, but this nice old manager lady opened his booth and sold it to me at the guy's original asking price:

$2.00

Actually, it was less since I got that game and two other CDs for $5, total. It was the non 'Greatest Hits' version (I think there's a GH version, right?). Anyway, all I need is to get a new PSone memory card, and I'll be happy.

That's not always true, games like Parasite Eve are two disc but the original release case says it's three disc due to the bundled Squaresoft 1998 collector's CD. Technically it's a two disc game. Instead of looking for the case (if the reseller even has one) look over the CD. With the exception of games like Strider 2 (where the disc marked Strider 2 was the original Strider port and the one marked Strider was Strider 2, just interesting information) nearly every multidisc game will say "DISC 1, DISC 2, etc." on the corrosponding disc.
