Is the magic card black and round?
Was it released in 1991 by CCL. H.K and FRONT FAREAST.
If so is there a power supply socket at the back? Maybe you
need one?
Is it the one were you can remove the cart adaptor under neath?
(can place a snes adaptor there instead)

i dont have it in front of me, but its by a company called gametec (not the US gametek), and it says it was made in taiwan on the back. on the front you have bootleg level artwork with a dragon with the a subtitle that says something like "super game enhancer". i thought if nothing else, this would be a great cart to use to play imports, but right now it just will be a cart that does nothing in particular. (though i havent tried it on all models of genesis yet)

Ok i no which one now. Try giving it a good clean both sides. If that dont work maybe its dead, or like you said maybe it dont work on a US genesis
Im sure someone else here will no if it works or not on a US genesis.

While we're on the topic of these things, could I use an English Game Genie/Action Replay/Whatever to play English games on a US system? What I mean is I have a Nomad and want to play all of my English games on it. Although, so far, out of about twenty games I've tried, the only one that hasn't worked was Street Fighter 2 SCE.

Yeah, that should be entirely possible. It's easier with the Pro Action Replay since they have a built-in universal adaptor function, but should still be possible with a GameGenie as long as you have the right codes.

its odd, as i do get a boot screen, and if i put in the magicard without a cart on top, i wont get anything. ill try a cleaning, but im skeptical
