Hiya guys, I'm new to the NES collecting scene, as I never owned a NES... but Njiska is kindly sending one to me in exhange for some hard Brit liquor, and now I'm after some games!

One of my faves was Elite, and have seen a boxed complete NES version with quite a high price tag. I was wondering, how much is it worth?

I've also seen the original Mario Bros (not Super Mario Bros) boxed and complete selling for £26 locally. Is it worth that kind of cash?

Cheers in advance

According to the rarity guide, here is the info for Elite.

The link to the rarity guide can be found at the top of every forum.

it depends greatly on which version of mario bros it is, the "black box" variety isn't worth so much, but the yellow labeled version that was released many years later with many changes would be worth around that much.

I bought a complete Elite game off of ebay for about US$20(including s/h). They usually go for alittle more than that. I would say $30 is fair. Too bad for me it will not play on a US system. :( I knew that before I bought it, but just wanted to own it since it is suppose to be one great game.

Thanks for the info guys. I picked up the Boxed & complete Elite for £15, but gave Mario Bros a miss as it was the black box version.

My first NES title to go in the collection... WOOT!

I don't see the PAL black box version of Mario Bros. that much, if it is the pixelated art version. It could be more common in the UK though

Congrats on getting started with the NES. I still don't have an NES, and hoping one of these years I'll get one lol.
