MGO: Metal Gear Online (DP MGO Club?)

Both Eternal Tune and I got this set up over the weekend and spent the better part of Saturday killing each other. Great fun.

But something was missing.

MORE PEOPLE.

So, if you have MGS3: Subsistence, I invite you to get something set up and post here. It would be great fun to play online with some DP folk.

It looks like I have a reason to get a headset now! I haven't tried online PS2 since amplitude, so I'll have to get that set-up too. Anyway, I should be ready to rock in a couple days.

I'm under the impression that MGO does NOT support the headset - you can type your communications using the keyboard [on screen] or by using the quick command communications [press select while playing].

Read the back of the box. I noticed last night that it clearly says it supports the ps2 headset. Yeah!

I was trying to use the headset, and I could clearly hear other people, but they couldn't hear me. On the screen between matches, you can see a microphone icon next to the names of people that have one plugged in.

Has anyone got a headset working? Do you need to press a button to speak ala Halo 2 across long distances within the game? And I'm still trying to figure out how to add a friend to my friend list by their name.

Instead of setting up a regular room, we could always just head to a smaller less populated server where we would be nearly alone.

EDIT: Let's get something started around 6-7PM EST on Saturday(the 25th). Both Tune and I will set up a DP game in the RAIDEN room. We'll lock it with the password "digitpress" (no quotes).

Hopefully we'll see you there. Both of us have the same MGO handle as we do here on DP.

I think you have to press or hold select.
