Yeah, I just googled it and found the official site:

Of course, no mention what-so-ever about a release date. I've been waiting for this one so long I forgot it was even coming out! I think I saw a write up for it in Play or something.

Coming out april 12, well no wonder it wasn't on EB's list, considering i thought it was coming out in march.
Looks like the official site hasn't been updated in awhile. Last update, like the middle of september 2005.
So, what do you think the rating will be? T or M? Tips & Tricks said it is kind of like Grand Theft Auto..

Turns out i first heard of this game way back when i got my December issue of Tips & Tricks.
Here's Tips & Tricks' Preview on it:
Like a satire of Grand Theft Auto and all of its stepchildren, Bad Day L.A. is a free-roaming third-person action/adventure game with a unique "super-flat" graphic style and emormous game environments based on real-life areas such as Venice Beach and Beverly Hills (home of tips & tricks). The twist is that the game's reluctant hero is not an ambitious ex-con, future crime lord or corrupt law-enforcement official - he's a homeless guy who pushes a shopping cart around. As the city of Los Angeles is victimized by terrorists, earthquakes and zombies, your role in the dark comedy will soon become apparent....
Pictures include your character and the sick kid on the ground, between two cars, and text at the top of the screen saying "Take the sick kid to the hospital", A picture of the character going against dogs and a wierdo in a hamburger suit, And the character going against a giant (Wierdo) guy in a hamburger suit.
Bad Day LA reminds me of Psychonauts. What type of style is it with these games?

Yesterday, i took my December issue of Tips & Tricks to EBGames, and showed the manager the preview on Bad Day LA. She said it may be only available by ordering it online, Since it wasn't on their lists or computers.
I'm the only person at that store to have asked about it, so far.

Where did you see anything about a release? None of the major game sites are showing it even in their inventory for pre-order, let alone coming out. Hell the official page STILL isn't showing anything newer than last September.

Not sure who is telling you this is coming out soon, but it still has a release date TBD on every major retailer site, well at least those that even have it listed. I'm guessing it hasn't been picked up for distribution yet.

Also they have yet to update their release date. After watching them I just want the game to come out even more now.

There's a note on americanmcgee.com regarding the game going gold:
American McGee Presents Bad Day L.A. Goes Gold
August 22, 2006 - Aspyr Media today announced that American McGee Presents: Bad Day L.A for the PC has gone gold and will beginning shipping to North American stores nationwide next week. This third-person action/adventure game, developed by acclaimed designer American McGee, is a cinematic satire that plays off the “fear culture” of modern America by plunging players into a storyline where the city of Los Angeles is barraged with disasters. The game combines comedy, chaos management gameplay, a unique art style created by Kozyndan, an over-the-top ironic story and a cast of characters that find themselves in goofy, often surreal missions.
“Bad Day L.A. has been designed for every player over age 18 to pick up and enjoy instantly,” said American McGee. “Our goal is pure fast action and fun. Players will have a blast grabbing their weapons and ammo; running around and shooting things and interacting with a crazy cast of support characters, all while trying to save LA during what has got to be the city’s worst day ever.”
Also on the site, he has a link to buy the game from Amazon.com. If you buy from Amazon, it's actually being sold by EBGames. So, basically, the game is available for PC from EBGames.com or from EBGames.com via Amazon.com. It's $29.99.
