I found a R.O.B. at a Flea Market, and I don't have the slightest clue on these things. How does one get it to work? I don't see anywhere to connect it to the NES?

Edit: Ok, I did a search on Google and checked out the Wikipedia explanation on R.O.B. and now I understand a little bit about this thing. Unfortunately, the one that I found is just the bare bones Robot by himself, with non of the parts that can be removed. I still think this guy might move around if I use him while playing Gyromite. I'm going to have to find a Gyromite cart. I'll probably find one for like 50 cents. Damn, it sucks that there are so many attatchements to this thing, I had no idea.

I have one with Gyromite and the gyromite parts, ROB and parts bought sepertely.

It is hard to set up - You have to aim hi's eyes directly to the middle of the TV screen, turn to contrast on maximum and the brightness on the lowest setting, And then have him in the on state, And then choose "Test" in the menu, then press select, And then if the LED on hi's head is lit up, He's ready to go.

Can I do anything with him if I don't have the attatchments?

You could dress him up in tiny little clothes and pass him off to your friends and neighbors as an alien that crash landed in your back yard.

It's as useful as a Super Scope without the IR receiver. But it will at least make your collection look nice. I think there are 3 variants to R.O.B., so when you find others you'd just have to be sure to find one with all the components. In the meantime, here is a link to a text manual. The parent website has instructions for other NES hardware and games if you're in need of them. (http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/manuals/robmanual.txt)
