I'm going to die someday!?!?!?
The 'son yet to be' I suppose inherits this mess. Maybe a nephew that might take after my twisted outlook on life.
Or you know, maybe the family I leave behind will look at this as simply junk and discard it much as one might regard an LP collection they have no attachment nor fondness for. Shame, indeed.

I am sure it wil be my son. With instructions to forever keep it in the family.

I don't know... I'm 20, it's not something I think about.

I'm going to be buried in an air tight tomb with all of it.. then 1000 years later, when whoever opens the tomb will be able to know my legacy as the king I must have been..
..Or I'll just will it to my children..
There is a good chance that sometime after I'm 60 I may want to sell it all to purchase something nice, like a Corvette or something.. You can't take it with you, and there is a good chance my kids won't appreciate the collection. I'd rather have a collector enjoy it.. the kids can have the corvette..

I suppose I'd leave it to a young family member or friend with the same passion as I have for gaming and collecting, I'd turn in my grave if I left for someone and they sold it!
Let my Sons fight over it!!! LOL

Hmmmmm...never really thought about it. I refuse to breed yet, so I have no inheritors...chances are it will get sold to pay my medical bills in my old age.....

If I'm struck down violently, my best friend gets everything he doesn't already have, and then two of my other friends get to fight over the leftovers.....and he has the same arrangement with me regarding his collection.
I'm too young to want kids yet, and, since these things seem to work out this way, it's likely my kids won't appreciate video games anyway.

I'll just donate them to somebody, let him or her enjoy the fun I had when I was alive.

I think I would probably sell it some time down the road but if I don't it would go to whoevers there at the time.

I'd hand em down the family line, with a note that says if its ever to be sold, to do it at a antique gaming convention (because lets face it, by the time I die of old age, alot of this stuff will be nearly, or over, 100 years old).

Im keeping my collection stored safely because after im resuscitated from my cryogenically frozen state in the year 2123 I will laugh mightily when I sell my dozens of sm/dh on ebay for $$$$ :D

I might have them donated to video game museum as seeing I don't have any next of kin.

My mother gets my game collection... she's a collector too. However, some of the items will be donated to the CGE.
I was going to give the collection to my kids, but it turns out that I won't be having any. So if I die an old man, they will go to some video game museum.

Well, my dream is to build a vg museum here in my country, and obviously, i will donate my stuff, but my last word can be: "Bury me with my Master system"

There are 3 things I would do.
1 Leave it to my kids.
2 Like Raedeon, sell it to buy something substantial
3 Give it to 5 seperate thrift stores so another collector can have the joy of finding a rare item for 99 cents.
I really like the idea of #3 but it is the least likely.

I’ve been here and had time to give this some thought for real.
What little I have in the way of games and systems would get divided up among my 3 kids and I can't think of a better way for them to keep the memory of me alive. I know they would keep anything I left for them forever.
Oh, and my 68 Cougar would go to my wife although I might leave specific instructions for her to pass it onto my son if he meets certain criteria such as graduating HS and showing responsibility, but a set of my Cougar keys are going to grave with me so I have something to drive in the after life.

I already named two "beneficiaries" to collect my wares when I'm gone. One of them gets the NES-and-older and the other gets post-NES.
I should mention, however, that this cost them their souls. And as such, turns out I'll be living a LOT longer than they will.
Chumps.

I wanna go out King Tut style, surrounded by all my junk. My NES propping up my head, my Duo proping my feet, and the PS2 under my decaying ass. On one hand a Power Glove, and in the other a lightgun.
I'm calling my lawyer now.

I'd like to have my stuff donated to some sort of museum that's in need to such things for an exhibit. My only stipulation is that the stuff should be played. In the end, that's all I really care about, that it brings someone else joy the way it always has for me.

I would most likely have sold it by then. If not, then my future son would get it.

Toxic Waste Dump.
Seriously, I don't care, I'll be dead.
Even more seriously, if a kid/grandkid wants it, fine. If not, it should be sold professionally (with options on the unique stuff to serious collectors I know) andthe proceeds invested to provide house down payment money for my kids or grandkids. And if I die soon, please tell my wife about this post.

no one will respect it as much as me in my family so If I'm still kicking at 60 I'm going to sell it and use the money on 18 year old floozies..

Floozies is such a great word.
Oh, carry on.

I'm never going to die. I figure when the time comes, they may have a GameShark for humans.
If I do die though (like, if MadCatz makes the GS) I'm leaving it all to my kids (when I have them) so they can sell it all and retire early.

Prolly trigger it to explode the moment my heart stops...but in seriousness I would probably either sell it all, selectively, to people I know who would get as much enjoyment out of it as I have. Also, it just makes me sad to think that there are steadily dwindling supply of great old games in existence - either being scratched to all hell, broken or lost. I'd like to think that these treasures will be taken care of by people who will make sure they last a couple of lifetimes at least.

That's a very good question. If everything goes according to the master plan, my games will stay in the family. Otherwise, they will have already been sold. All in all, it's not important.

My plan is to give it to the woman who gives me the best 'service'. As of now, my wife is the leading bidder. Bidding can take place any where, any time.
