Just a big heads up for all the COD2 players on DP, today Infinity ward finally realeased a patch fixing all our problems with COD2s MP.

Call of Duty 2 will automatically update when you sign into LIVE. This update offers significant enhancements, including improved multiplayer performance, the ability to reserve friend slots in private game lobbies, post-game lobbies so friends can play longer, configurable host options and much more.

YES! MORE PROOF THAT INCOMPLETE GAMES WILL BE SHIPPED AND PATCHED LATER!!! This is great for video game collectors who in 20 years form now wont be able to play the game because they wont have the patch because the game had lost support 15 years previously!!

First, I thought this was for PC. Maybe throw a '360' in the thread title?
And, in 20 years, multiplayer for CoD2 wont still be going, so your point is pretty moot.

I would've though the "There is a god" part would've implied that this is in regard to the 360 since the 360 is the system in desperate need of a patch, and it's common knowledge, at least in the MG forum that there's been one in production.
All the same i've updated the title.

I have been waiting for this one for waaaaay too long. Really happy to see it finally hit.
So yeah, my final AP test should be over by tonight, I am totally up for some death match! Who's hosting? :)

so far the patch is cool, now you can create a private room,. and so far the lag issue seems to be fixed, as well the game now takes you back to the lobby when finished.

I traded in my copy of CoD2 for MGS3:Subsistance. Week before last, I died at least 800 times beating all the campaigns on the Veteran setting. I'm a little sick of the game, now, in the sense that I never want to see it again.
... But I'll pick it up again, years from now, after they re-release it as a Platinum Meghit. Hopefully it will be like Ninja Gaiden Black, Fable or MGS3 and have extra content on it. Oh, and the patch, of course.

I'd rather have a fix then i would have nothing at all. Besides COD2's multiplayer, aside from the lag, isn't actually a bug or anything like that. It's just different then what we expected and Infinity Ward patched it so we could have it the way we wanted.
I'm rather pleased.
too late, I lobbed it off in favor of GRAW.
