I recently had the oppertunity to raid the offices of a game developer who was getting rid of a lot of old Amiga type stuff, and the result...

I don't even know what half of it is, to be honest. A lot of books, and some interesting equiptment all with manuals and whatnot. The machine has a hard drive within it, so it may have some interesting stuff on there, I'll be sure to check it out when I get the chance.

Also, be sure to check out "Picture 023.jpg", it looks interesting. It's a beta version of a game called "Skidmarks". They said there were no games, so I'm assuming this was an accident or something, I have no idea.

If anyone sees anything cool, please do tell me, because I'm curious about what on earth it all is. (You can tell I'm not a Amiga expert)

Whoa...pretty crazy haul there, man. I have no clue on rarity of any of it, but those Amstrads sure are a nice addition.

That's hot man! Nice find. I wish I had something like that chilling on my shelf and for some use. Looks really nice too.

I picked up an old PS2 Packard Bell keyboard with no Windows keys (*GRIN*) that looks never touched, in fact the keys are still stiff to push so I broke it in. :P Nothing compared to what you found though!

Addition: Looking at those manuals that came with it, those are imporant. It'll let you write software and program it different ways to your uses, if that's your intent. Make sure those booklets are stored in GOOD places not to get ripped up, same with the disks.

Great haul. Skidmarks is a nice little overhead racing game similar to RC Pro-Am on the NES if you hadn't heard of it before.

Anybody?

The amiga seems to have some c program, and some sprites and things of that nature. But I don't have any way to view them, or get them off. Any ideas?

For those in the dark the Amiga was the best 16 bit computer of all time. stereo sound and 4 channels of samples at the same time, 4096 colors on screen and a 68000 processor. That was in 1986 when PCs were 4 color CGA and bleeps. My fav. computer and OS ever.

Oh how I wish I could pull the Window down to return to a game or another desktop. *memories*

genlock or framegrabber. There is a composite PAL signal coming out of that if you
hook up.

appears to be a video fade box up unsure without docs.

some sort of video box with BNG connections.

Why won't you go ask in an Amiga centric forum?

Yes indeed. I wonder if it'd work on a genesis? I haven't tried, but I'd guess not, although I do know that genesis pads sometimes work on certain amigas.

It will technically work, but you won't have access to A or Start, and if it's only a one-button joystick then you'll also lose C (sometimes Atari-style joysticks with multiple buttons actually connect them all to the same fire button, for left/right hand use).
