I've just had this in the post today and just wanted to be sure that it's the genuine article. What threw me the most is the blank cartridge back. I've taken a few pics - does this look like the copy you have?

Any help appreciated as ever!

Mine has the sticker on the back as well. I would be careful and test it to make sure the rom chip inside is indeed Snow Bros.

Good idea. Just checked it and it is indeed Snow Bros. I'm wondering if someone's had the cart open at some point as it has a bit of a rattle to it. Either that or it's dodgy..

Well if the screws are exposed, could you not open it up and have a look?

Well I now own this cart which I traded SOR3 for from Develman...I can confirm that this is a bootleg (copy) cart. Well it looks good in my collection anyway, also thank you Develman for such a good service and looking forward to buying more from you...

Matt

How do you know its a copy? Its quite disturbing if there are bootleg copies flooting around, that looks this good.
Im curious to know why anyone would go though the work of making a exact bootleg-copy of snow brothers and then not add the sticker on the back of the cart, seems odd to me.

Heh, small world! Thank you for SOR3 and I'm glad you're not too dissappointed with the cart. Certainly the best bootleg I've come across.

The reason this cart rattles is that it had no screws in the back. Lucky I had an old jp cart where I used the screws from. Had a look at the rom and it is a boot leg :(

Not really. Tengen ported this game from the arcades. The game was orginally made by Toaplan (the famous shoot 'em up developer from works like Hellfire, Fire Shark, Zero Wing, Twin Hawk, Grind Stormer, Batsugun and more). I'm suprise that this game has a console port. x_x

Yup, Tengen was the home division of Atari Games and delt with the conversion and licensing of mainly arcade titles. Off the top of my head the only truly original Tengen games I can think of are the RBI Baseball series. Yes the original on the NES was based off of Vs. Atari RBI Baseball in the arcade that was based off of Family Stadium on the Famicom, but all the sequels were original. RBI Baseball is my next Titles of Tengen column at Retrogaming Times Monthly next month. ;)

Didn't Capcom release it for the NES?

Yup (expensive though), believe there was a Gameboy port as well, Snow Bros. Jr.

It looks like the real one. You can tell its been opened and they removed the sticker to try to fool the buyer. It probabaly had little pieces of plastic floating in there. No biggie. Its a great game if you like the bubble bobble type of games
