Old Football Program game,,Need help.

This was a football game that you typed in the play you wanted to run, i.e. 1--Run 2--pass there was offense and defense. no actual people on the screen, it was all done by computer program. It was on the old style floppy disks and remember playing this game as well as others in school back in the mid to late 80s. Any help on where i can find this game and other old computer program games would be very helpful. thanks.

Can you give anymore information? What computer system or systems do you remember it being on? Did it use actually NFL or NCAA teams and stats? etc.....

It definitely sounds familiar and I'm sure I have either played it or have it. If you can give me some more info I will check my basement for my old programs.

It sounds like the computer games by Lance Haffner Games. They had pro and college football, hockey and basketball. The plays were made by simply typing in a particular number, and waiting for your result.

I remember playing it on the old Apple computers where the text was in Green. I not sure about the usage of pro teams, i know they did not use pro teams unless you typed in that you wanted to be that team, but the teams were not in the system. I remember playing it in my computer programming class in high school.

If it did not use actual teams and players than I believe you are talking about an old freeware football program. I cannot remember the name of it though, but it was probably something generic.
