Does anyone here have one of these?
I know the company went out of business and they're no longer being made, but I was always interested in picking one up. More for the PDA features than the games. But here's my question:
I have the GameCollector cataloging software from Collectorz.com. It's a great program, allows me to very easily keep track of everything I own. I was wondering, if I got a Zodiac, could it run that program? That way, I could take it with me whenever I go hunting and make sure I don't accidentally buy anything I already have.
That, and it would give me an excuse to buy another game system. LOL

Nevermind, found what I needed. Yes, it can be done, now I just need to decide if I want to spend the money. Thanks.

Do you know if the software will work on pocket PC? That'd be pretty sweet :D

Yeah, it will.
I went to Collectorz.com to check up on it. They have a small section actually devoted to it. You have to download another program and do some fiddling, nothing too difficult by the looks of it, and you can copy a stripped down version of your database to any Palm or Pocket PC. And Zodiac uses the Palm OS, so I'm assuming it will work just fine.
I ordered a Zodiac, and it should be here in a week or so, hopefully. I'll post an update once I figure it out.

If you got a good price, the Zodiac is a nice little machine. Look for:
LJZ (a.k.a. LittleJohn Zodiac) is a wonderful multisystem emulator which needs to be seen to be appreciated. Perfect NES and very good emulation of several other systems, all in one tidy interfact.
Stunt Car Racer (this should be included in your package). Nice 3D arcade racer. Reminds me of the mid-1990s when 3DO, Playstation, Voodoo1 on PC, and N64 would have loved a game like this on their platform.
zDoom. Better speed, controls, and graphics than the commercial version. Also plays most of the add-on WAD files.
Noiz2a - abstract shooter on most platforms.

Another good site to check out:

There's a guy selling old demo units + spare parts for $125 shipped. Check the forums, they have a very active community there.

Well, my Zodiac came. The thing is pretty nice, though I must say I was a bit disappointed with the documentation that came with it. I was a little unclear on some of the initial steps I had to take to set up my system, but I figured it out eventually.
Importing my Collectorz.com database to the Zodiac was fairly simple, and it turned out great. Only thing is, it requires buying another peice of software, ListPro. But, Collectorz.com customers get a discount, so I'll only have to pay $20. Not a big deal.
All in all, I'm happy with it.
