Since we're about to enter the 2nd quarter now, I thought it would be fun to start a wishlist of our most anticipated PC games for 2006. I know we haven't heard about all of them yet, since E3 is still a few months away, but why wait?
My wishlist:
FlatOut 2
GTR 2
Micro Machines
OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast
Rail Simulator
Sid Meier's Railroads
Test Drive Unlimited
Train Master
Virtual Skipper 4
World Racing 2

What about the expansion for World of Warcraft?
That is supposed to be coming out this summer last I heard. I would like to check that out.
Another one is Heroes of Might and Magic 5....I am very sure it is coming out this year as well.

I am uncertain about HOMM5 - as you may have heard on the rumor mill, the guy behind Infinium Labs is the guy in charge of farming out the development of HOMM5 to some east european nation or something. Not that they can't turn out quality titles over there - just look at Space Rangers 2.
I personally am looking forward to NWN2, and that's about it for me. I haven't picked up Darwinia, and I really want to. I also have a pretty big backlog of PC games, so something is going to have to prove itself to me in order to get my dollars. That, and the fact that my PC probably needs upgrading to play most modern games. I'm just not looking to do that quite yet, largely because I have so many unfinished games and I don't see anything coming down the pike that I'd be willing to upgrade for.

Yes, technically Virtual Skipper 4 has already been released, and we here in North America can order the international version from the website for it now, but the official North American release still hasn't happened yet. I'll probably go ahead and order the international version when I can afford it though, as waiting for the offical North American release takes way too long, and I already have the international versions of Virtual Skipper 2 and Virtual Skipper 3 anyway.
Someone's got a racing/rail road fetish.
And a sailing fetish too! My favorite PC games are all some sort of racing games or rollercoaster/railroad sims. I buy alot of flight sims too, but I rarely play them. I'm not into the MS Flight Sim thing, but I like to play the arcade style flight sims sometimes. For other genres, I just stick to the consoles. It's expensive enough trying to keep up with all the genres that I collect for on the PC, without trying to keep up with all the other genres too. I was trying to keep up with all the RTS games for the PC for a while also, but I finally had to give up on trying to get them all and just get all the ones that I really like. So I sold off most of the ones that I had, and the ones that I still have I might as well sell off, because they just sit there and gather dust. None of them are even installed. I just don't have time for them all.

UT2007 and its editor...I can't wait to see if they're actually going to put out something that isn't so buggy. I'm not counting on it, though.
Also, I'm highly anticipating the Space Quest/Police Quest compilations that are supposedly coming out. They're supposed to be out this week, in fact...but there hasn't been a single word about them since they were announced. :(

Well I just ordered the international version of Virtual Skipper 4, so I should be playing that long before the North American version finally gets released here, whenever that's supposed to be. No more long wait for me! :D
