What game(s) are you most excited to play/download on the revolution's virtual console?

I'd have to vote for

(1) Blazing Lasers
(2) Neutopia I &II
(3) Duneon Explorer
(4) Bonk

Some people think of the Neutopia series as a crappy Zelda knockoff. Well, they're right in that it's a Zelda knockoff, but it's fun as hell! Much better than the original NES Zelda.

Too early to say - the list of games hasn't been announced. I think it's a safe bet that those will appear (not sure about Dungeon Explorer, which I think was a CD-ROM game anyway).

Did you see the ongoing discussion of the news, by the way? Topic just a ways down the page.

I'd like to see Ninja Spirit and Ys Books I, II

Dungeon Explorer was cart based, not CD.

I'd love to see Ninja spirit too - that game was awesome! I'll never forget the intro sequence (especially the music, which I always found creepy as a kid).

I almost bought a tg-16 not long ago, but the guy had no good games. Maybe I'll just wait for the virtual console.

Bonk's Adventure, for sure. I have a bootleg SNES version somewhere in the attic...

Honestly, I don't think they just mean HuCards unless it was explicitly stated. We will probably see Ys Book I & II right away. People who have never played it will download it, especially considering the amount of RPG fans there are now. Unfortunately, they will not be seeing it in context, and that will cause many to go "What's so special about THIS." without really feeling any awe like those of use who were privileged enough to at least try it when it was new. I didn't own it until the mid-'90's and still loved it though. First played it after waiting in line at a kiosk at FAO Schwarz in NYC back when the CD add-on wasn't even available where I lived, but I digress...

Back to topic, Rondo of Blood may be a given considering that Konami and Nintendo still get along. I would imagine that most of the shmups (Hu & CD), the Bonk games, and things like the Neutopias will definitely be on there. I also predict that most of the early US lineup, such as Legendary Axe, China Warrior, Blazing Lazers and even good ol' Keith will be on there day and date.

I'm suprise people didn't say this:

Konami owns Hudson, so there might be a good chance that Konami is putting their own classics on the virtual service.

And I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Splatterhouse games, even though some of those were ported/made for the Genesis.

Before horror games were actually supposed to be scary, the Splatterhouse games were the best of their type.

Hmm...the cd-rom games available on the Rev? I have my doubts on this one. CD-ROMS are big, unless they take the time to incorporate some sort of compression for the audio.

I'd like to see Galaga 88/90. You can never get enough Galaga.

Even if the N5 doesn't have a lot of Turbo games on it, this list is worth following since lots of handhelds have great emulation of this system: PSP and GP2X are very good, and Pocket PC and Zodiac are worth looking at. There's even a PC Engine emulator for the GBA.

I really like Devil's Crush Pinball and would love a chance to buy a legit copy without dealing with silly old NEC hardware.
