Far Cry Insticts Predator is going to shock the 360 world!

Far Cry is an ok game, but nothing spectacular. Sure, the graphics look fantastic, but under that pretty exterior it's just standard run 'n gun in a jungle setting. Multiplayer varies it up a bit, but, in the end, there's other shooters I'd much rather play.

Yeah, awsome power of visuals, but when I played it I felt no need to buy, at least when it was on the original XboX.

After getting halfway through doing nothing but using the knife and stealth kills I'd have to disagree. Far Cry Instincts is also a significantly different game from the PC original from the levels to the weapon selection to the added abilities and traps. I was really impressed with both of them.

FarCry on PC was mighty nice and fun, and the 20 minutes I played of the XBox game was ok, but not as good. This, on the other hand, looks amazing. I'm willing to bet my buddy that has a 360 will buy it.

The original did two things on the xbox.....Jack and Squat. While it looks good, I am afraid not many people but Xbox fanboys will care.

If there's some guys in a hut you can roll under it on your back and shoot up at them through the floor. The gameplay, character designs, move that you get, plot, etc. is basically Eighties Movie: The Game, which is the main draw for me.

The gameplay on the PC game was pretty good if you ask me. Terrible voice acting, and a lame ending were the worst parts for me, but between the hang-gliding and shooting helicopters, I was willing to put up with it. The only thing it did amazing were the graphics, and I'd say it was an above average FPS.

PC one is superb, the thing that was amazing was it hit before Doom 3 and Half-Life 2.

If you don't like FPSers, obviously you aren't going to be impressed, so spare us your "who cares" posts. The original was easily one of the better in the genre and this looks to be a solid continuation.

Ok, nobody else seems to share my enthusiasm, but I must say that even under the current circumstances of big games being released for the 360, like GRAW and Oblivion, two absolutely monster releases, this game is coming out a little bit under the Radar not that it hasn't been advertised like crazy if you read all the fish wrap out there.

No but you can set a sprining tree branch trap like in Predator. :D

The really impressive thing about the 360 version isn't immediately noticeable in screenshots, the draw distance is two kilometers. X_x

Is this one coming out for the PC as well? I've always been tempted to get FarCry, even though I'm not into FPS at all. It just looks so cool and unique compared to all the other FPS out there. At least it lets you do a variety of things besides just shoot everything that moves. And the level editor looks pretty cool too, although I probably couldn't figure it out. I'd rather play this than Half Life or whatever.

FarCry is good, but it is most certainly not better then HL. If you dont like FPS', this isn't going to change your mind.

It's just that, as it stands, $60 is a lot to spend on a game that is a gussied up sequel to a PC title that came out a few years back (and is readily available for under $20, no less). Yes, new levels blah etc. Same ol' game. It's not bad, just nothing I, and apparently many others, would pay $60 for.

More something I'd pick up for $20 - $30.

I think people are continuing to not realize how different Far Cry: Instincts is from the PC game. Also "Far Cry Instincts: Predator" isn't just a 360 port of Instincts, it's Instincts plus a graphically upgraded Far Cry Instincts: Next Chapter which is being released as a standalone item on the original XBox.

Looks like I was a little bit off on this one. Supposedly the AI of the enemy NPC's is absolutely laughable. I've also heard that alot of the textures and character models are based on Xbox 1 models. Also, the word is that if you've played through the Xbox 1 version, that there really isn't much here that is very different, other than the bump to 720p resolution and improved water.


Having said all of that, the graphics supposedly are still pretty amazing in certain areas, and if you don't mind the ridiculously stupid enemies, then it might not be too bad. I still haven't played this myself, it's coming from GameFly soon, but I've read a bunch of reviews and they all say the same things.
