Anybody else have stuff you know you own, but are damned if you can find it?
I know I have box and maps to FF3 (SNES) but hell if I know where they are. I know I have a complete Dragon Warrior around here somewhere... I know I didn't chuck the box or anything... I also have a complete Mario Paint... somewhere...
Straying off topic, I have the original (1984) Optimus Prime and Megtron, both complete. But I can't find the boxes or instructions, and some of Megatron's parts are missing!
I'm also missing a whole lot of Japanese animation I've collected in the past 15 years.. They just vanished over time!
Do you still count this stuff in your list? What about you, what do you have "around here somewhere"?

I'm missing about 7 limited edition xboxes... You would think an xbox would be hard to loose, let alone 7 of them...

I've lost computers before. No really, I could ping the IP and get a response, but I couldn't figure out where it was hiding. That's also happened to a few friends of mine. Apparently we like to plug computers in somewhere around the house, usually in a closet, dark place, or corner hidden really well and set it on the network to log traffic or temporarily store files.
As for video games, I can't say I've totally lost or misplaced anything because they sit on my shelves and are only away from that resting place when being played. I have, however, lend games to friends and forgot about it until I ask around if anyone was borrowing it. I'm reluctant to do it to certain people who tend to mishandle things.

I have some gameboy games that are hidden somewhere at my parents house. It does make for a nice surprise every now and again to get a call from my mom saying she's found another one of my games. I figure I'll have all of them by sometime around 2010

The only thing I can't find right now is my copy of Super Punch-Out. I don't think I traded it away or anything, but I have looked everywhere and just can't find it. Hopefully it will turn up one day.

Only once, and it's still ongoing. I KNOW that I have the hint book for Phantasy Star 2 but I haven't seen it since Thanksgiving. I've been actively looking for it for at least 2 months.

I know that somewhere either in my place or at my parents I have snow brothers with the manual. I did have the box but I sold it already and I really want to sell the rest of it because I never even liked the game. Hopefully now that I'm moving again I'll be able to find it.

I know I've got a FF7 Guide in a box somewhere but I have no idea where it is. Also I used to have a Zelda Game & Watch that I found a few years back and lost again. O_O

I have an Atari Lynx, that I bought brand new. It died quite a while ago.
I've been looking for it for a while now, and I have no idea where it is :( because a) I am wise in the way of console repair (now), and b) I am sure that Rygar is still inserted in the console - I love this game 8-)
i got a bunch of magazines, which i know i have, but i cannot find them. drives me mad.
i still have stuff in storage in the UK (monitors, games, computer table, more...), so i believe they are there (hopefully), as i moved to Germany last year.
i also have a house in France, and i know some games are kicking around there as well, confusing to say the least

As I recently hooked my SNES up again me and Cryo had planned on trying to get some three player Secret of Mana going on, but I can't find the cart for the life of me. We've searched over two houses, but couldn't find it.
I've also lost guides for both Animal Crossing games, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy 3.
Tho, I know my problem is that I place the item somewhere and stuff just gets piled on it, or it gets moved, and I go to look and it's just not there. ;_;

Apparently, I've misplaced Tekken Advance, for I have the manual with my Game Boy stuff, but the game itself is nowhere to be found. And likely ancient history, I'm afraid.

I bought The Sims 2 on release for £30. It only just worked on my laptop because someone had pinched 256mb of memory from it. I didn't know about that. It worked on the spare desktop, but that was in my dad's office, so I couldn't use it. Fast forward six months and I got that 256mb of memory back. However, this time the game kept freezing. I needed new video drivers. A few months later I finally found a site with the appropriate drivers. I went to install the Sims but disc 1 wasn't in the case. Dammit. I couldn't play it.
The game is still about £30. But I was in PCWorld last month when I saw it was £16. So I snapped it up while I could.:) It's since gone up to £35 there.

Mario and Luigi for the GBA. Somehow I’ve managed to loose the entire package, game, box, and instructions.
On a positive note I misplaced my GBA (with Zelda: The Minish Cap inside) last spring. I thought I had lost it. It finally turned up last December in an overnight bag. I finally got to beat Minish Cap….

I opened the case for Quake recently to discover it was replaced by some disc called "Dance eJay". I have never owned this, so I figured I must have allowed someone to borrow it. I called around and found that my brother had it. I still can't find SimCity for SNES and Duke Nukem 3D for PC.

Yeah, I've been missing a Soul Calibur Disc for years now... I've still got the case and instructions, but of course, no disc. I'm pretty sure I didn't lend it out to anyone, but who knows.

I can't think of anything game-related that is missing like that but for a few months, I haven't been able to find my 3rd volume in the hardback The Complete Peanuts series (the one with Pigpen on the cover). Then, last night (while sitting exactly where I am now), I look and peaking out from under a few things...there it was! Son of a...! Needless to say, that was a cool way to end a night...

By combining "odd" with "red", I would say that its one of the two interphase games (which, upon looking), are both R4's.
Either Blockade Runner or Sewer Sam
;)
Having a complete collection helps my knowledge a little bit.

I had until 2 days ago lost a small box of games, including Final Fantasy VII (my brother's copy, he's going to be so happy it's finally back), Bubble & Squeak for Genesis and some other stuff. I'd already replaced most of the important stuff, but it was nice to see FFVII and my Majora's Mask manual again. Dreancaster got most of the leftovers. :P
9 days until I move back to Sydney and I still can't find my Mr Driller: Drill Spirits. My hopes are low, considering how small the cart is, and I've still got the box and manual. Gah!

I couldn't find my Lionel Hutz figure. I bought it, and lost it the next day. I found it (actually the wife found it).
All is well 8-)

I lost my PS2 memory card about a week ago, luckily it was a backup card with no saves.
