Industry Peeps(With Nintendo Contacts) Help Needed?

I though here would be as good a place as any,

Yesterday here in australia Nintendo sent an email out to there
account holders stating that once stock has sold out there will be
no more replacement for them.

Stock list was some a grade titles such as:
Mario Kart DD
Mario Baseball
Fire Emblem -NGC
Final Fantasy IV
Nintendogs - All versions
and MARIO KART DS!!!!!

there is other titles that I can pass on if requested,
what I want to know is/has/or will there be any mention of
this in the states? I can confirm to you that Gamecube controllers
have also been discontinued.

Any info would help as I am very intriqued?

Theres no way Nintendo would stop shipping mario kart.
