PS2: Bass Master Fishing fishing rod controller

Does anyone here own the fishing rod controller that comes with the Bass Master Fishing game?

I just got one, but i noticed that the analogue controller in the middle does not autocenter. Is that normal or is mine broken?


Also, how do you actually catch a fish? When i hook one, i get that tension meter that goes to max almost immediately and i loose the fish. The manual says you should move your line in the direction the fish moves to reduce the tension but i never managed to accomplish that (i tried with both a normal dualshock controller and the above mentioned fishing rod)

It's broken. Dunno if you can transplant from a healthy Dual Shock.

Grmbl. I'll open it tonight and see if i can fix anything. I do have an old dualshock controller that is broken (my cat chewed the wire) that i can use for spare parts if necessary.

I bought it from eBay so i can always see what the seller has to say about this...
