If you're in the market for a PC game pad, I just bought a Game Elements GGE908 PC Recoil Pad at WalMart, and I'm really impressed with it. I figured that it was probably just a piece of crap, since it was only $15, but I figured that I'd take a chance on it anyway. Now I'm glad I did. Installation was truly plug & play, just like it said. Amazing. I plugged it in and XP found it and installed the drivers for it without any problems. The force feedback drivers are on a CD, so you have to install those after that, if you want the force feedback to work as well, but after that all I had to do was configure it for all my games and map all the buttons out. No problems with that either. Every game recognized it and mapped all the buttons just like I wanted. The only snag there was that some games start with button 0 instead of button 1, so for those games each button registered as one less than its actual number, but they still registered.

So now I finally have a dual analog force feedback controller for all my PC games, and it didn't even cost $20. Of course it's basically just a PS Dual Shock clone, but it's far more comfortable than that, and it seems to be made just as well if not better. The whole thing is rubberized, so it feels really cool and comfortable in my hands, and the grips on the sides are textured to keep it from slipping. This is what all game pads should be like. I would've thought that a pad like this would cost alot more than it did, but from what I've read about some of the more expensive pads, more expensive is not always better. Of course it remains to be seen how durable and reliable it is, but so far I just love it.
