Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, Super Mario Advance, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 Player's Choice arrived in most stores on the east coast today. $19.99. As I hoped, the cosmetic change is the same as the original GB games. Player's Choice banner on the front of the package, the spine is unchanged.
Search didn't seem to turn up a thread about this, feel free to lock if it was already mentioned somewhere.
Alas, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 doesn't seem to have gotten re-released yet, I hope it does as I completely missed out on all of these on their first printings.

That's the one I was looking for too. Let's hope it gets a re-release soon.

Anyone buy any yet and know how the cartridge labels themselves compare to the original releases?

I'm looking forward to getting SMA:SMB 2 - I never got it originally, and have been shocked at how pricey it is used (at least around here!). We've got all the others as they came out :)

Yeah I got both. The cartridges are identical. In addition, the paperwork is also identical (i.e., subscribe to Nintendo Power and get a Yoshi's Island strategy guide, etc.). No MyNintendo registration added or anything.

Wait, I;m sure there is a visable difference with the labels for the SMA: SMB2 and SMA3: YI labels. The origional copies came out before Nintendo went back to the shiny laminated cart stickers. I'd bet that these new copies use those shiny laminated stickers, as opposed to the duller & much easier to damage, non-laminated ones. BTW, the switch happened with all games sometime around 2003.

Actually you're right, the content on the labels is identical but the labels themselves are of the laminated variety.

I first saw them in stores on Monday. Probably gonna pick up Yoshi's Island soon, it's the last Super Mario Advance title I need.

Remarkably, those are the two Mario Advance games I skipped the first time around *L*
On a somewhat related note, I've noticed that stores have been getting new shipments of Mario 3 (SMA4) in, but they seem to have removed the e-cards from the package.

Woo hoo, finally I might get a chance to pick up Superstar Saga... Have been wanting to play the full version of that one for a while now (might get me off this Fire Emblem kick in on)

Superstar Saga is a great game, well worth the $19.99 price tag. Nintendo really has proven to be one of the most versatile publishers out there. They can rehash classics with the best of them but between the Fire Emblem and Wars franchises, Zelda, Metroid, and the Mario RPG games they've really got their act together.

I have two questions.
First, is the manual completely in black and white, like PS/PS2 Greatest Hits rereleases?
Second, do the games come with registration codes like FF1+2 and the NES Classic Series?
I saw Mario + Luigi Superstar Saga yesterday at Toys'R'Us, but I didn't buy it because I just spent $60 on four GBA games. Eheh. ^^;

I'm a little confused about all the Super Mario Advance titles since I got into the GBA later in the run. Just trying to figure out which game is which.
I know SMA3 is Yoshi's Island since I have that one.
SMB was released in the classic series
so what are SMA and SMA2
Was there a SMA4?
I'm guessing SMB2, SMB3, and SMW

sleepycal:
SMA = SMB2
SMA2 = SMW
SMA3 = YI
SMA4 = SMB3
Kitsune:
If it's anything like the Gamecube releases, the manuals are probably untouched. And I checked out Nintendo.com, and they don't list SMA or SMA3 as having any registration codes available, but Superstar Saga still does.

You arn't missing out on anything. It sucks compared to Super Mario RPG. Don't buy it unless:
a) You have a collection of GBA games that isn't complete without it
b) You like Princess Peach Escort Missions
or c) You're a Mario Fanboy
