Beatmania box variants?

im sure by now the small group of people that are close followers of the Beatmania frenzy have found that the game was released two days ago, but does anyone pay any attention to the box it come in?

our of th ekindness of my heart, im wanting to know if anyone thinks the box looks something like the first release box for the Guitar Hero. shortly after they released this box version they cam out with another one.

Same game and guitar... different box.

how are collectors supposed to keep up with all of these box variations? and is anyone keeping a list?

inquiring minds want to know what you think.

will Beatmania be rereleased with the same hard cover box as Guitar Hero even thought hey are made by different companies?

Funny, Oobgarm mentioned that idea to me as well. Then I explained to him something I noticed. The original packaging for both Guitar Hero and Beatmania are exactly the same as the old DDR Max game and pad combos. White box with a thinner cardboard overtop of it. The Max games and their combos were never released in any other packing. Beatmania is a Konami product, while Guitar Freaks was put out by Red Octane. I don't see Konami doing it, just because they never bothered to put out any DDR combo box variants, which were popular...so why start with Beatmania?

I wouldn't be surprised if Konami brings out Beatmania as a stand alone game and other companies will product third party controllers.

I am sure it is already available as a stand alone game. On the back of the case for the game it mentions that 'you can bring the arcade feeling home with the dj controller (sold seperatly)'.

i think that what is is saying you can do by bringing the arcade hit to your living room is purchase an additional controller for the two player action simultaneously.

i have thought of purchasing the second controller but im not very good at the game so im not so sure i want to spend the extra mony.

just a thought. i have an extra taiko drum master for trade or sale brand new in the box if there are any takers just pm me. i would want like 15 plus shipping.
