has anyone heard the beaf about nintendos release of the nintendo revolution. rumor of mouth has it that the new system will not have as large of a hard drive as its competition..via the Xbox 360 or the PS3, but it will allow users to download all of their old favorites.

this includes games from the nes 8 bit era, super nes and seg genesis.. but rumors ar eelaking maybe even turbo graffix?

is this just a rumor or has anyone else heard about this same sort of thing going on?

the hard drive is not suppose to be very large, but they will be selling memory cards that will allow you to save roms right on them.

the revolution is also being ported so that it will play all 500 + of the Game Cube games.....?

whats the scoop

April fools jokes are only funny if they can actually fool someone.

Yes, this was announced a week or so ago. Along with the NES, SNES, and N64 classics we can also download some of the best Turbo and Genesis. They also announced that they have more developers and their games signed on but they will announce them later.

And about the hard drive they said that the Rev will support an external hard drive via the USB ports, so will really won't need to worry about storage issues.

i had not heard about the hard drive. do you think they will be allowing buyers to purchase any hard drive possible or only ones that nintendo will be making in to some kiddy version for us.

im excited about the release and it may just be the only nintendo system ive ever purchased at launch.

does anyone know a date for this item?

just wondering.

at my work we launched the ds and it was liek i didnt even know it was coming. now the ds lite is coming and they have yet to give us any info on that item. then there was the advance sp release and we got nothing on that.

just wondering if anyone has any info on the revolution.

thanks

It's all speculation but many believe the DS Lite to launch sometime in May and the Rev around Thanksgiving.

About the HD, I'm not sure it could go either way. Also they will support some type of muti-gig memory stick.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the hard drive. I remember when GameCube came out, and the articles about it would mention the expansion ports and say "this is where the hard drive will go." Or, how about those SD card adapters the system was supposed to get to add storage space?

If we do get one, I'll be pleasantly surprised, but remember that most add-ons either fail to materialize or don't get much support. I've been disappointed too many times to worry about add-ons.

BTW, why are you calling the system the Game and Watch? Is it an inside joke?

The "Game and Watch" is just some stupid wo-rd f-ilter that someone decided to use instead of "Rev-olution".

From what I understood about the HD announcement was that any external USB HD would work... but who really knows at this point, we just have to wait one more month to find out.
