Apparently they didn't think the japanese public realized it even got launched, so they're gong to try it again lol.

MS all you need to do is give them the games they want, The Sega and Dead or Alive games on the original Xbox were one of the only things that got it out the door in Japan.

Well they are at least relaunching it with Chromehounds so that should hopefully have an effect.
The xbox will be crushed once the PS3 comes out. There is no way that the xbox can compete with Sony. The mainsteam people don't give a damn about street fighters or shit like that. PS has the good and will take hold of the market.

I'm sure if the Xbox 360 exclusively had Final Fantasy and the next Dragon Warrior game at launch, Japan would buy it. :roll:

I don't understand this at all. I have tried to rationalize it, and everytime I come to the same conclusion. You cannot re-launch a game console. There is only 1 launch, when you first launch the thing. The console is on store shelves right now in Japan. Unless Microsoft recalled all the consoles, is "holding" them prisoner for a month, and then having another launch?
This makes no sense at all.

You're right of course, I think they are just trying to call a marketing mulligan.
I.e. relaunch the marketing push.
It's pretty pathetic really but I guess it's better than doing nothing (from their POV).

believe me, for those of us who missed getting a 360 on launch, and knew about best buys next sale date on dec17th, it felt like another launch, atleast for those of us who camped 20 hours in line for a 2nd shipment :D
